subdane: The game keeps freezing after the mission where you find the microfilm in the morgue.
avatar
strannyi: Couple of issues:

Second, I get UI bugs where I can't get out of the analytics screen or open the options menu. For example, I received new Intel from the world map (Leslie's microfilm, I believe). I click on it to go to analytics. Then the second event fires where it tells you that you get xN pieces of evidence (10x in Leslie's case) from the analytics screen. From that point, I cant go back (button doesn't do anything), can't get to menu (button doesn't do anything). I can get back to the world map, but there are no points or other items on the UI. I have to alt-f4 the game to get out of it. This happens every time I 2 events fire on the world map after moving to another menu from the first one.

subdane: I have more or the less the same issue after I recieved "Leslie's microfilm"
This has happened to me a few times as well, and it's pretty annoying (especially since one needs to kill PD to close it).

Luckily every time I restarted, I could simply reload the last save and then everything works.

I THINK that it may occur more often if you click on one of the recovered options directly (e.g. intel, new agent, etc.) - clicking the standard "continue/OK/etc." button is (always shown at the end of all missions) APPEARS to reduce the likelihood of this occurring.

thbeja: On Mission "Turning the Tables" -> Release Omikron I am stuck on "enemy activity" in turn 10.
The bar doesn`t progress. Its appearing to be stuck when an enemy agent is re-enabling a camera. This is the case if I have vision on him (through tactical spotter) or if I don`t have vision on him.
avatar
Trifler: I had a scout mission where it crashed while an enemy agent was reenabling the cameras.
I had a problem when in the enemy turn, agent reachrf the camera center to turn it on, and his turn never ends.
Its common mission to kill 9 enemies.

Some skills given by the proper background (i think it`s the passive ones), for example team player for Gladio agents, or the Spetznaz skill, are not displayed in the agent profile, giving only empty space which makes it look like there are no skills associated with these backgrounds, which is not true

RaduMihai: The infoboard shouldn't be messed up when reopened.

What happens after getting some new info (or maybe not) is that the infoboard has not saved the arrangement of all the stuff that was on it and I need to rearrange it, which is annoying to do, because I had it arranged near-perfectly before.

So check the save on infoboards and make the save work.
Do you have an agent assigned to work on the board? Cause they will rearrange it so they can work with it. Doesn't sound like a bug but pretty clever AI, to them your arrangement might be a mess.

joaomlo2: I have been experiencing seemingly random fatal error crashes on the morgue story mission. The first happened when my infiltrator disposed of a body and the second one on the following turn when moving said infiltrator to takedown another one. Is there a txt with a log we can send for you guys to look it up?
On a sidenote, it may be a thing on just my side but this game really seems to heat up my gpu as the fans are quite loud when running it in relation to other games.
I have the same issue with the GPU going ballistic, all other games i play it stays at around 55-65C with this game it goes up to 85C+

Anybody know how to work around this without sacrifising quality?

That's a great theory and would add to immersion, but somehow I think the simple explanation - that the game doesn't bother saving the corkboard positions - is actually the correct one. I'm pretty sure I've had the corkboard rearrange on me when no one has been assigned to analysis.

Tried turning on VSync? That should limit frame rate to monitor refresh rate, which might help.

Sorry to tell you but they seem to be just that clever. For three days I had no one work on the investigation board with 6/11 files on it (gathered no new intel 'cause it was story related and I didn't do any story missions during that time). It has stayed exactly as I'd left it. Then I assigned an agent to it, 8h later is was all rearranged. Tried it just now.

OK I tentatively retract my previous statement. Checking on a subreddit about PD, apparently the "analyse" action you can put your agents to actually causes that agent to effectively "do the corkboard for you" - i.e. find keywords and link things up - which fits with what you're saying.

Also according to the subreddit, the "analyse" job doesn't generate any new intel (which is what I thought it was for) - it just analyses what's already there, doing the player's corkboard for them.

EDIT: After some brief checking in my current game, the above does NOT appear to be true (the agent solving the corkboard for you part - the part about them rearranging the corkboard due to their analysis appears to be true though) - I've definitely placed agents on "analyse" after connecting everything I could at the time (but not solving it due to missing intel). However the analyse job doesn't always (or maybe ever?) generate new intel items - instead it can generate other "rewards" such as trade contacts, crafting blueprints, etc.

Not sure if this was an isolated case but despite the description of Takedown:

"Silently incapacitates the target whose HP is lower than that of the attacking agent.
Non-lethal against civilians."

I was able to Karate chop an enemy agent whose HP was not lower but the exact same amount as the attacking agent's.

Interestingly enough the official manual reads:
"Remember: on Medium/Hard difficulty, the target will need to have equal or less HP than your Agent for Takedowns to work."
I guess the in-game description is just wrong then and it's actually not a bug but a feature?

Hi i think i found a little bug to report. First thing, i hope my English writing is good enough.

I m curently runing the 1.0.2 version of the game and play the CIA story in normal difficulty and ironman disabled.

Ok let's get going, my report is about the "trainings of agents". When a second training option apeared for Deadpan i trained for "Contact Tactics" then i dicided to swap from "Contact Tactics" (which provides "Blinding Laser" and "Pain Stimulus") to "Covert Operations"(providing "Example-made"). I did get my new abilities but i didn't lose the old ones, so i m supposed to have the following abilities (zen (CIA related), Empath and Example made) it s displayed correcly in the crew quater "training summary", but during missions i get (zen (CIA related), Empath, Example made AND Pain stimulus and blinding laser).

I assume this is not a wanted mechanic but a bug...
I attached some screenshots in this post if you need them

By the way, continue your great job on this game!

P.S. Not related but am i the only one in the following situation, Phantom Doctrine is counted in the number of games i own on GOG Galaxy profile but is not displayed in "games" in my profile as well as my achievements which don't seem to unlock properly.

With patch 1.0.2 civilians flee from you in combat rather than blocking crucial tiles like doorways, mission objectives, lockers etc. However, they flee from you whenever they are infront of them.

Had a patroling civilian who moved just as I got there infornt of a locker; crap. On my turn which was during my "infiltration phase", not combat, he then fled to the tile next to it, as I was within proximity of him after he moved there, but didn't trigger combat. He either knows I'm there or not but he has to decide wich one on the fly (puns ...).

Civilians should of course not behave like that during infiltration as you can take them out when their not cowering.
In the Analytics overview where you can assign agents to work and do research on intel the assignment slots sometimes bug out upon completion of research and there's no more intel to work on.

Normally it would lock the slots and show "No more intel to work on" or something along those lines, further emphasized with a bit of signal-red coloring, if I remember correctly.

But in those few cases when it bugged out during my playthrough it looked like in the attached screenshot (don't mind the bit of graphical artifacting there, that's due to Fraps acting up).

Canasta, who was previously assigned to the investigation board, her portrait and the progress/ETA readouts are still there in the first slot but it actually does nothing (because there's no more intel) and Canasta is correctly shown as "available" in the Crew Quarters overview.
The green "Assign" confirmation below Canasta's portrait as well as the entire second "Free Slot" cannot be interacted with in any shape or form.

The readout detailing the elapsed time, your current funds and income, as well as the "Danger" meter in the top right corner sometimes bugs out too and is not visible any longer.

I think it occurs mostly right after returning from a completed direct assault mission but I'm not entirely sure about that.

After a while (upon completion of the next direct assault mission?) it suddenly is there and visible again.

This bug seems to happen when you block an agents patrol path but are disguised and have actor. The enemy agent decides to take the very long way around to complete the patrol anyway. While not game breaking, it does seem pretty silly that they get to move that much when blocked. I have a nice twitch clip of it, but the thread seems to not want to let me post links. Here is something that is for sure not something that could be easily be turned into a correct link to the clip ;D clips(dot)twitch(dot)tv/GloriousSuccessfulDunlinBrainSlug
Playing from CIA start, there is a mission at a US embassy, but the language (to enable distraction ability) for this mission is not English, but that of the host country instead. I guess the language is simply set for each city, but perhaps certain missions should override the default.
