I started up the first Phantasmagoria game for the first time. I played the intro movie and it was pretty tiny. I then started the new game and the cutscene also seemed pretty small. I went into the options and found there was a full screen mode. I tried the intro and starting cutscene again and filled up my screen.

Why was Phantasmagoria not full screen from the get-go? Was it because some old MS-DOS systems couldn't handle full screen without stuttering a whole bunch? It puzzles me to no end. Maybe someone can clear this up for me.

I only tried to run this game last night, but I also ran into the same problem as you. It seemed like any setting I made would have the game run in a tiny 480 window in the center of the screen.

The only way I've managed to get the game to be bigger is to play it in windowed mode.

After an accidental discovery, I found a solution (sort of).

I set my monitor to "FULL" and the game no longer played in a tiny box in the center of my screen.

Where did you set your monitor to full?

It will vary from monitor to monitor, but I just went through the settings button on my monitor.
