Hey I had to say something about this. I just tried this out on Crossover Games on OS X - and it actually worked!
I just ran a few minutes of a skirmish, and it worked! I used windowed mode.

I had similar experience using Crossover Linux Pro. The only annoyance is that you have to use it in windowed mode otherwise the cursor doesn't point where it is. Meaning that it clicks above what you see and you can't start any games as a result.
But other than that if you put it in windowed mode you don't have that problem and it seems to run smoothly and without other bugs.

It even works quite flawless with normal wine.
