After many years of enjoying the great stuff here at Gog.com I wanted to give something back to the community.

I still have the original boxed version and have scanned a copy of the tech tree that came in the box. I have contacted Gog.com about the possibility of adding it to the bonus content. :)
That would be sweet. I still have the paper manual, but lost the tech tree poster :(
There is a tech tree? I had no idea.

This would be awesome since there is currently no way for me to know how to plan my empire a certain way. There is nothing in the manual, as far as I can tell, that tells me this. I just leave auto-research on and all the empires end up looking the same, which is boring.

That would be wonderful, I lost my copy on the way sadly.

I did remember I beelined to mines in research as it allows you to play a turtle approach (defensive play) Not a common tactic in many 4X games, but one I like as I tend to enjoy developing my worlds & sustain light defesne fleets. I just get a kick of seeing huge populations/colonies on planets :)
Wow, I have been looking for this for years since I lost my original! I've even bought 2 additional packaged copies of the game (plus this one on GoG) trying to find a copy. I was really hoping it was included here on GoG... big thumbs up if this gets included!
Would be nice to have that tech trees as well, your best bet is find that guide, it should have everything you need to know.

Had to order mine from ebay, only 9 bucks with free shipping in my area. So better grab it when you can, unless you find find the original game that came in with everything.

Also ordered the original game that never been open from Australia, the price wasn't so bad. So keeping this as collection and least I have the tech tree chart.

Sadly I never received a response from Gog, guess they're not interested.

So maybe a link for some free file storage or something?

Yes, this would be helpful. Dropbox is free. Or PM me and you can send it to me. I'll put it up on my dropbox account.
This is the Tech Tree. Unfortunately it is only in German.
