All the others remain unanswered.

So, I d/ld the game and it ran fine, but of course I wanted to run it in widescreen. So after a quick search on here, I found this: http://www.moddb.com/games/pathologic/addons/widescreen-support-addon-for-pathologic and now I get the infamous "Error Creating Render" message before it's even begun.

Any ideas? - OTHER than dirver related? There must be some workaround!

Edit: can still run it it standard 1024x768 res, but everything is messed up. I'd rather get the widescreen working, but if there is NO way for that to happen, then I'll just have do a clean install and pummel on with the 4:3 and black borders. Help appreciated though!

Yes, but thats irrelevant - it ran fine UNTIL i used the widescreen update - now it's all glitchy.

Thats what I've been hoping to avoid.

where one or two others are having the same problem.

I followed the suggestion of removing the spaces around the "=" in the config file, and set fullscreen to "0". ran the game. same problem. reset fullscreen to "1" and now it seems to be running fine.

I'll update after I've spent an hour or two on it in case there are further glitches. If not, I'll edit my post in the sticky about the widescreen patch.

Well, its definately working. I'll edit this later with a more clear and concise version of what jiggled it back to life!


Also: this game is brillitantly weird!

Switching fullscreen to 0 and then back to 1 on the config file also did the trick for me, but then it created a new weird problem. The game was still in 4:3 800x600 resolution and everything was jumbled. The solution was to simply change the resolution manually on the config file and voila! Everything works great now.
