RyzaJr: Harder? Not harder, just not as incredibly accepted or common moreso than reality. In real life, 50% of couples you come across aren't LGBTQ, maybe unless you're in San Francisco or something. That makes it seem like the writers have an agenda to push their political narrative.

Also, I just bought Pathfinder and as I soon as I got to the surface from the underground, boom - a lesbian couple. First one too. Also-also, the feats descriptions keep saying "her" instead of "their" or something neutral. Like, come on, really? These arent the reasons I'm regretting this purchase though - it's the wall of text and lore. Bit too much for me.
What percentage do you think would be correct, then? In the years I've been alive since I was born in the 50's, I've run into some, then several, and now many same sex couples. Yet for most of my life they have never been represented at all in any media that I was exposed to. And they have always used male pronouns to describe things that apply to males and females equally.

So why not flip the table and over-represent them a bit (if that's indeed what is happening)? Who is harmed and how?

No one is harmed. I don't know what the correct percentage of LGBTQ is but given the medieval/fantasy setting I would think low, if any. Now, if we were talking about Cyberpunk then go all out in the representation - Future distopias sound more appropriate to represent mankind's fall into questionable morality.

If it were an aristocratic Roman (historical) setting or an ancient Greece (historical) setting then there would be a lot of LGB stuff (or there would be zero since that is the way things have been misrepresented in the last straight-washed century). However this is a fantasy setting. It is wholly created by the authors. There's no "correct" here. Cyberpunk is a fantasy too so the authors could have gone the opposite direction if they wanted.

Well, it's not in Rome or Greece?

There is "somewhat correct", which would is more of a medieval, probably European setting. The authors had agendas of mixing that setting with their modern political beliefs, unfortunately. People notice this and lose the immersion.

Again, Cyberpunk would be more appropriate for those LGBTQ narratives.

That's kind of my point: it's not historical. It's fantasy. If you think fiction is any other than the author expressing their ideas then I don't know how to help you.

Over the course of what is a VERY long campaign it's really not going to color your opinion of the game. It's just way too small a thing here to matter.

If you like complex CRPG combat/builds and lots of reading typical of older CRPGs then this is a must play game. It's done here better than its ever been done as far as I know. If the game had full voice acting it would almost certainly be better than BG3. Arguably its better than BG3 even despite the weaker presentation. But if deep combat/build and lots of reading is tedious or not fun to you, then stay away from the game.

That's ultimately what will decide if the game is worth it to you. The amount of sexual stuff in this game is quite minuscule and is barely a blip in the overall experience.

Actually, even in Greece and Rome, it would generally not be portrayed as in games. There you had a lot of men with boys, but men with men was not completely acceptable or common. In fact what was acceptable then, is not acceptable now and vice versa.

There is a lot of surviving Greek/Roman pottery, art, graffiti etc. that would dispute your contention. Anyhow I'm done with this quibble-fest. Have fun with your crusade.
