Standalone DLC.
Windows 7 Professional

Like others have mentioned, the "workaround" only partially works; the tiefling portraits appear and the character model appears if you choose them, but the actual race and class cannot be chosen.

The new companion does appear in the throne room during the start of the game though.

Luuin: I would be curious if it was because of mods somehow. Was usually my go-to when skyrim stopped working. "alright, which one of you 154 mods did it this time"
I'm not using any mods

Same issue, and the workaround doesn't even bring up the portraits like others are reporting.

After the debacle that has been Kingmaker and what the public has been, and is being, put through, how can you look at yourselves in the mirror for charging for this DLC, which does not work, by the way. Holy crap!

We apologize for inconvenience. Currently we are looking into this issue and, in some cases, it was resolved (on Mac and Linux), while atm I'm waiting for info regarding Win 10 and Win 7. Though there are a lot of people who didn't face this issue.
I own the imperial edition and am unable to play the new race & class.
However with the workaround i am able to see (and choose) the new portraits and can see the character model of the triefling.

My Setup:
Win7 x64
Nvidia gtx 1060
16 gb ram
AMD-8320 Eigth-Core Processor

Pathfinder: Kingmaker on Version 1.1.3M

Thanks for the info! We are trying to locate the issue now. It seems that the problem appears on some Imperial Editions and standalones on Windows.

There was an issue on Mac and Linux, but it should be fixed already.

Me as well. Explorer edition (not Imperial), can't choose Tiefling at character creation. Playing the German version.
I am running windows 10 with the imperial edition, and I am having the same issues with not being able to select the new race or class.
Add me to the list of individuals not seeing the new class creation options. Paid for DLC on GOG. Windows 10, Tier 2 Kickstarter.
I have the same problem on windows 10, standalone version.

The workaround makes the portrait visible and seems to select the race, but then you can't proceed to select a class after that and any attributes never show up.
