Hey,

so, the Linux version is back up on GoG. Yay!
But: The two "extra" files, "Pre-order Bonus" and "Kickstarter Tier 1" are both exe.files. What the heck?

I'm going to assume that's not the way it's supposed to be, right?
So, since the game now actually RUNS on my PC, this is becoming a bit of an issue. I'd rather not play before I managed to install the DLCs I'm due...
Yes, I don't think Steam players have this problem. Don't make me regret choosing GOG, please.

So, you're in the same boat? Linux backer, no DLC? It's actually currently gone from the download page, so something seems to be happening, which is really good news.
(Of course, we're not up to version 1.02, so I'd be downloading another 30GB, which at this point I'm sure not going to. I'll turn on my patience boost and just leave this game alone for a week or so, see where we're at then)

Already do. No patches, no client to support the download...
So, this morning the DLC was gone from the download section. It's back now. And guess what.... it's a bloody .EXE file!?!"§"11"" C'mon guys, you gotta be kiddin' me.
Have any of you geniuses opened a ticket?

Where's the link for that stuff? I had to google to find the support forum. Nothing on GoG links to the things you'd expect it to.

mbom: ...
Every game in your library has a support link.

Yes. The same day I started this thread. So far, no reply.

Daily update:
Game download is version 1.02, DLC is 1.03 (and, continuing this wonderful sharade, .exe). I'll go out on a limb here, but even if I were able to use the DLC files, I'd expect the installer to balk at to different game versions.

Yay a form to send an email. Yeah, no thanks.

GOG has a dedicated support staff. They open specific tickets and assign them to a troubleshooter. When your number comes up, they contact you and work your problem with you. They do a very good job (though they cannot solve every problem).

GOGs support procedure is a major reason to use GOG instead of Steam.

This is my first interaction with their support, currently at "wait and see".

As we've long moved from "annoying" to "blatantly hillarious - glad I have a real-life to distract me from this", here's today's update:
Besides the game's 1.02 download there is now a 1.01->1.02 patch. I appreciate patches, a lot.
For the time being, I'll assume the 1.03 patch doesn't contain anything worthwhile for Linux users. (Sarcasm, yes).

As for the Bonus DLC? That's gone again.
Ah, look, the DLC is back. In keeping with the story so far, both files are .exe, again.

I mean, we've long crossed the threshold from "annoying" to "blatantly laughable", so I'm going for "amused" rather than "angry". But, honestly, this is the worst in organizational skills I've seen so far.

Let the people celebrate their 10-th anniversary ;-)
