Glebovvski: I’m using Xbox one controller, unfortunately I don’t have any other, I guess it has something to do with a game, it works perfectly fine with other games

jsidhu762: That's really odd. It's usually the other way around; first party controller works better than 3rd party devices. I'm afraid I'm stumped.
Yeah, that’s why I’m so confused as well. I updated firmware, tried running as admin-nothing. I guess My only option is to wait for patch

The download sizes are listed next to the downloads on the GOG website and comes out at about 28 GB for a complete download. I heard the Steam patch is about 12 GB.
Don't know about Galaxy, that is not available for Linux.

My XBox 360 wired controller seems to work fine out of the Box, on Linux mind you, I don't have Windows to test.
The controls seem to be surprisingly well done. Even a lot of the menu screens seem nicer, perhaps just cleaner. I haven't played enough to know whether some actions are impossible or awkward, but so far I can see myself playing this with a controller, even though it's traditionally a mouse kind of game.

An easy thing to try when you have controller troubles is to make sure that there is only a single one connected. Some games get confused otherwise.

I only had one controller plugged into my PC, but the game wouldn't register my any of my button presses. Also, it would crash after exiting the game.

I am having xbox controller issues as well. The official Xbox controller. I can use the the xbox button start recording. The controller works for other games. USB controller shows all buttons are working and functional (including A) it simply does not work with Pathfinder Kingamaker.

I am enjoying the turn based combat.

So the game doesn't launch with any mode installed is made on purpose?

Xbox controller doesn't work at all with GOG version. When I add the GOG version as a non-Steam game within Steam, it mostly works, except for the back/view button and both of the thumbstick clicks. Seems like a widespread issue from what I've read. I was excited to come back to the game so I could play with the comfort of a controller, but it looks like I'll have to wait for a patch to fix this.

Oh, while I'm on this forum post, I love most of the UI for controllers, but I wish that it would use a radial menu when holding left or right triggers. The deck of cards UI that you have to go through is...neat...but cumbersome. I think most options should be 2 user actions away, not up to 5 or 6 actions like it is now.

Also, I'd rather have the ability to rebind the d-pad directions to various shortcuts and have the ability to bind a combination like holding down a button or trigger and moving a thumbstick forward or backward to zoom in and out (Final Fantasy XIV style)

I assume you're trying to launch the game from Steam Big Picture mode after adding a non-Steam game to my library, as I've tried to do many times. I found that I needed to launch the non-Steam game from the desktop UI at least once before it'll show up in Big Picture mode. It's weird.

While it is decent that Owlcat games to provide a warning that the patch logs will spoil things for you, it's hard to avoid if you are wanting see particular issues resolved that you run into (like being able to save the game for example).

Since reading the latest 2.1.0k patch logs I've become aware of huge spoilers. The warning is there, but it doesn't help much if I'm looking for particular fixes, or just want to see changes to game mechanics.

Just a recommendation though it is a bit more work. Why not order spoilerish fixes by chapter, and place them after all other fixes (eg game mechanics, UI etc), preferably with big empty padding between each chapter those fixes belong to so people can scroll down to find if fixes relevant to the chapter they're currently on have been fixed.

Completely my fault for not taking the warning seriously, but I think it should be possible to read about the fixes and updates on the game without spoiling things if you are careful about where you place those plot/character specific fixes.
