I was trying to patch the game and for some reason everytime I tried to patch it it failed. I tried to repair it, it failed, I tried to re-install it failed.

This is using gog galaxy, this seems to be a pathfinder specific thing as I am able to install my other gog games.
I have the exact same problem. Just bought Kingmaker, it downloads via Galaxy but fails at the end while installing. I seem to be able to start the game directly from the HDD tho. The same problem occurs on two of my machines (Win10)

It would be good to know if this issue has been acknowledged by GOG :-)
TLDR - Similar issues here, seems to be Galaxy. Manual install seems to have pompted Galaxy to stop fucking up for now.

I Just had the endlessly failing update bug, would get to 100% (0.2mb) into the installation and fail.

The game was never played, I had previously (5 days ago) successfully installed version 2.01 via Galaxy.

After trying to abort and verify the game installation I quit Galaxy in frustration. Next time I loaded up Galaxy it told me I had no games installed at all (it just plum forgot where everything was, I had to tell it to scan again).

This is on a brand new (as of a month ago 1TB SSD)

Downloading the manual updates on a web browser and running them worked. Starting Galaxy up again, it still wanted to update, but just a 100mb file this time. All working now.

Had the exact same problems with Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire months ago.

Same. I'm trying one last time and then I'll give the manual download thing a shot. I think I've downed about 57GB so far trying to get the update to finish.
I had that same issue with the temple of elemental evil. Seems to me what everyone else said works. I noticed that it would say it failed each time I tried launching it from galaxy but it would work fine if I manually launched it from its file location. Just had to deal with seeing it attempt to install eachtime I launched galaxy.
Thank you for the info and sorry for inconvenience. I will ping the team about this issue.
same here, cant install it. I tried different harddrives, repair etc....
It´s fixed for me. Good job!
I have problem too :(
Same problem here. Game won't finish the last .2 mb. If I close out Galaxy, it goes all the way back to 23% and takes another 45 minutes to download.

Please freaking fix this, GoG.
Absolutely same scenario here - repeating 0,2 MB download after verification of local files, but never solves the issue. I will try other approaches (restarting Galaxy and so on) - but it is good to know it is aknowledged by gog team...
There is a new patch out today that repairs yesterday's 2.0.3 (Build 30176) and updates to HotFix Patch 2.0.3 build (30188) be sure to update to this as it fixes most of the problems.
The auto update is failing with .2mb left, so I'm not sure how I'd do that if the auto-updater isn't working...

in your gog games menu, click on Pathfinder: Kingmaker, then click on Downloads and download the 2 - 2.0.03 patches and then run them manually...

Looks like it's working.

Couldn't do it manually as the dlc's kept saying wrong version even though the game was installed at 2.0.3

But installing it via galaxy is working now.
