I found a game breaking bug whereby Kalannah of the Technic League does not die. She either lies there or gets back up, non-hostile. This results in you not being able to interact with either the slaves or Octavia and Regongar. I've reloaded prior to this scene numerous times with the same outcome every time.

Further, if you are in chapter 2 and already have Octavia and Regongar in your party, then go back to the Technic League, the map has reset and you can fight Kalannah and cronies again (same result) and ANOTHER copy of both Octavia and Regongar are there, tied up.

I give up on this game until they sort it out...

And people over at the Owlcat forums, especially diehard fans, are wondering why the Steam rewiews are so bad...
No wonder there was no official rewiew before release. The game was in no shape or form ready for release.
Worked fine for me.

Beat her in a fight -> she is unconscious -> talk to the two slaves -> decide if you kill her -> kill her -> loot her -> talk to the two former slaves.

You actual only really kill her out of a dialogue where you say (chaotic evil, I believe), "I'll kill her myself, she annoyed me!" Then a sequence plays, you walk over and kill her dead.

In both my old character, where I'd reached chapter 2, and a brand new game (just started), the result was the same. Kalannah either lies there unconscious or gets back up. Seems like some script is not triggering. *shrug*

It worked fine for me prior to patch 1.03. My first character actually has Octavia and Regongar in the party, but like I said, going back in chapter 2 the map is reset and with a new character/game the result is as above. I give up.

Sorry to hear that.

I had this with many other releases and there is no point starting a character over and over again. It just frustrates if you get stuck in quests. I had this with Original Sin1, lots of left over quests and then after 10 hours or so complete stuck. Never finished that game or bought the next one.

Just leave it be and try again when it is more polished.

Spellforce 3 at release, some maps just crashed and auto-win for me. Lots of other glitches, but at least I could always go on.

Leave southward from the defeated Kalannah until you are "out of combat". Return and see Kalannah back up but still non-interactable.

Now save the game and suddenly the fight restarts. After defeating Kalannah again the script works as intended.
