After going through your various builds i actually ended up using your slayer build ! Just finished chapter 4 and wow that guy hits like a truck. All the feats and levels were perfectly laid out, so thank you so much Ineffect for the wonderful guide, also following your companion builds for everyone too, but i rarely use regongar, but you and several other say that eldritch scion is high dps. I put himto auto cast touch of fatigue with spell combat and spell strike on but his damage is lackluster am i not doing this right ? Or is there some other way for playing a magus cause i see everyone praising them but i cant seem to hit and when i do its not for much. Sorry for the off topic question since it seems you have moved away from pathfinder and thanks again for the builds ! You're knowledge of this game is amazing !

Scion does have high DPS. If you cook him right. You can see proper dps scion in the unfair guide. That thing does a lot of damage. Reg is in a weird place. He's draconic, he still wants DD, losing 5d6 sneak dice, he has no good way of ramping AC fast... And most importantly his racial is awful. Where any other character would just drop and just need healing - Reg just dies. Only reasonable thing I'd look to do is to make him a bard, if you don't want Val bard for whatever reason. Something like bard12/DD4/Scion2/something2 would work. Sure, scion levels would be wasted, but at least he'd have a place in the party, Only reason to have him at all would be if MC is taking some other role than a frontline tank/dps, then it stands to reason for him to be a local bard and for Val to take a melee sorc role, although due to his racial it's a hard sell and I'd likely take jae there..

Is it a "fire and forget" kind of build? The thing I'm unhappy the most with my Scion MC is the amount of babysitting he needs on buffing and spellcasting and I have no patience :D

most anything needs buffing. If you don't want to use buffs - just lower the difficulty. He'd probably want oak, so vestments/haste/legendary/mirror/delay/heroism+whatever situational buffs you'd need. Not that much. People in general make buffing worse than it is. Full buff for a party of 6 takes about a minute and usually lasts long enough to finish the area. 1r/level stuff has to be recast sometimes and maybe 1m/level will have to be recast once. That's about it. so around 2 minutes of buffing every 20 minutes of fighting. There is also a buff bot mod, but it's kinda cheating since it doesn't account for cast times and just slaps everything on you, but if buffing annoys you that much it's an option.

It's also possible to play solo character. You actually dont need party, aside from unfair difficulty and maybe lastboss, a single well-built character is all you need to complete the game.
I dont like poor AI controlling my party, i also dont like to make orders to each party member all the time, as well as spending tons of time to buff each toon, so i play PF "solo".

I understand but some characters need more babysitting than others. Example:

Jubilost, you can just let him throw his bombs (even if you haste, etc before)
Ekundayo, kinda same, just let him shoot arrows
Valerie, just pop that mutagen and have her stand in front line

But others, like a scion, kinda got to find the right spell to cast every turn, otherwise it's just a guy with a sword in the front line
Kineticists too, lots of positioning necessary, ensuring no friendly fire, etc

That's why I'd like to know of which MC builds for normal require less babysitting :)

oh in that regard - yes, slayer is pretty relaxed. needs to do jack all apart from bashing faces in.

Yep. Can even drop Vivi to be even better if you can take a bit more suffer in A1 or don't play on unfair.

It's ok-ish. Won't win any competition anytime soon, but it's an ok mix between concept and being usable. Slayer is a more serious version of that.

Guessing the reason for Vivi 1 is for Mutagen + Sneak Attack? Without Vivi I cannot get Accomplished Sneak Attacker, right?

If i were to start a new Campaign but with characters that were twins.. lets say brother and sister.. one being the Staff monkster and the other one being something that would compliment well being a cleric or something what would you make the second char? and would that work thematically? like my character dealt with the stuff at restov while my sister was at Olegs place waiting for me when the bandits attacked! lol.. thanks. also is the staff monkster really a tank with damage or would i still need to go full tank Val? or would Slayer be better on the frontline? i love me some sword and board play.. maybe could have them be brothers..Staff monkster and slayer builds of yours and no Val at all

V1 is there for a spike in AC for A1. 2d6 sneak is pretty miniscule, so I wouldn't really bother. It's just it doesn't cost you much in the long run and making A1 uhfair easier is worth it.
There is always a room for two tanks, so val doesn't step on anyones toes. Thematically... I'd probably do two draconic bloodline characters. One melee sorc and the other AT/Sorc. That's as close to bloodline themes the game gets. Or you can just make the other erastil cleric, which is meta and they'd have a reason to be there since there is an erastil temple and he/she easily could come with jhod

I'm respeccing at Act4 so I'll skip Vivi1 :) Any suggestion of Feat to replace Accomplished Sneak Attacker?
