budgi: Hey,
Been a huge fan of your builds and thinking of something of my own but having a lot of trouble creating it.
I've got the DLC's and hoping for a hard viable character. (Going to run 4man party through unfair).
What I'm trying to build is a vivisectionist/aldori defender and maybe dip something else. TWF with dueling swords. Early-game doesn't matter, hoping more for an mid-endgame character.
If you could give a build suggestion based on that, that would be awesome! Super unsure if I should be dipping thug, paladin etc. and what feats to go for. Same with stat spread, seems to be much harder to build than what I originally though.
InEffect: what exactly do you want from aldori and why dueling swords would be the question. If you want twf vivi it can be done better.
On the substance you need either
4/12/16 levels of vivi
1/2/8/9 Aldori
to be more usable it probably also wants mirror image and AC.
with dueling sword TWF you don't want dex for sure.
Lets just say we get 12vivi and at a minimum 1 aldori as it would give you effectively 2 feats. That's 13. with 6 left you can grab archae2/DD4. 1 left. Best for the money would be 1 monk for another 2 feats.
So my pick would be V12/F1/SF1/archae2/DD4 with TM1=>V3=>Archae2=>DD4 as a base.
For armor you want either protector robes if LG or Oak if not.
Alternatively, you can trade a level of monk for Deliverer and trade 1 feat for 1AB that way by picking irori.
Race you can grab motherless tiefling or human. Aasimar will do too, but it'll probably get a bit tight in the feats with wiings.
Spread I'd look at 18/15/12/12/16/7 if motherless with 1 dex at 4 and 4 str after. Works better in robes since you'd end at 28Dex anyways, so a lot would be wasted with oak. For oak you'd want to start at 13dex and wait later for items to qualify fir TWF feats.
Alternatively, for hard you can just do M1/V16/F2/Slayer1 with M1/V3/F1=>V16 base and be fine.
As for the feats it's pretty standard fare. Outflank, crane, shatter and twf will do.
I guess I was too focused on aldori since I wanted to roll with dueling swords. To be more exact, I'm looking for a high damage dealer with TWF while using dueling swords and going 8 or 12 vivi, rather 12 for more spells. Aldori doesn't really matter to me, dueling is kind of RP reasons. Not a fan of kukri/dagger there. I know I take a small hit but aiming for hard viable instead of unfair.
12 vivi / 1 scaled fist / 4 thug? / something something should probably be good. Just unsure of what to add and if there's something better to go for instead.
Human is totally fine. I thought I can also dump wis since it shouldn't be needed. Enough int for vivi spells (14?).
Thanks a ton for the quick reply as well. Quite a newbie at this still. Was a bit unsure on why I need str when going dueling since I do have finesse weapon etc. feats.

Since I'd be rolling dueling swords and having str with them, a bit lower dex due to it, should I dump all cha as well and wear a light/med/heavy armor?
The current plan is:
20 / 15 / 12 / 14 / 8 / 7
4 thug, 1 scaled monk, 12 vivi, something for 3 last, not sure.
Detailed leveling breakdown:
Lvl 1: Rogue - Accomplished sneak / TWF
Lvl 2: Monk - Crane Style
Lvl 3: Rogue - Exotic weapon (dueling sword) // weapon focus (dueling sword)
Lvl 4: Rogue - Finesse Training: Dueling sword (doesn't matter much)
Lvl 5: Rogue - Dazzling Display // Double slice
Lvl 6: Alchemist
Lvl 7: Alchemist - Outflank // Feral Bite
Lvl 8: Alchemist
Lvl 9: Alchemist - Improved Two-Weapon Fighting // Enhance Potion
Lvl 10: Alchemist
Lvl 11: Alchemist - Shatter defenses // Feral Wings
Lvl 12: Alchemist
Lvl 13: Alchemist - ???
Lvl 14: Alchemist
Lvl 15: Alchemist - Greater Two-Weapon Fighting // ???
Lvl 16: Alchemist
Lvl 17: Alchemist - Greater Mutagen // ???
Lvl 18: ???
Lvl 19: ???
Lvl 20: ???
If I've done something stupidly or you have other criticism, it's most welcome!
I'm starting to get the feeling I'm shooting myself in the leg super hard cause of the dueling swords. Hopefully it's still doable and ok/good for hard.
