proximity.Alert: Last question for awhile InEffect, thanks for taking the time!

When I try this I dont have enough for everything here to work out..18/15/14/12/7/12 with the human bonus in dex. did I do something wrong? Race is human. Also I get that 18 > 22 means you put the extra skill points on level ups into that stat, but what does the @4 mean? Thanks!!
Bonus always goes to the highest stat. @4 means at level4.
Hi Again!

I've been searching through all your posts for info about this but haven't found anything. Is there a way to make a hard-viable heavy armor ranger?

I got pretty far in my play through with the previous build you made me (and loved it) but my game seemed to be bugged as my character wouldn't die when his HP was dropped below 0. I stopped playing the game and decided to come back and try again as a new class.

Hope all is well.
Oops! My bad--I see that you don't make builds here anymore!

Hey hope you see this, here's a real good heavy-armor ranger build. Sword and Shield real fun.

InEffect: Degenerate Druid for Kenny_Smith36

Race: Human
Alignment: LN
Pet: Smilodon
Final Build: Druid(DotTW) 17/Monk(Traditional) 1/Alchemist(Vivisectionist) 2

Detailed leveling breakdown:
Lvl 1: Druid - Spell Focus: Conjuration // Spell Specialization
Spell Specialization: Latest summon spell till 11(or whatever really. Extra duration is helpful early), 11-13 Sirocco, 13-15 Creeping Doom, 15+ Stormbolts
Important Spells:
Lvl 1: Entangle, Acid Maw, Magic Fang
Bit about what he actually does: earlygame is mostly summon spam while pet hopefully kills stuff.
Don’t forget to convert your spells into summons when you need them.
So, uh, something weird, at level 1 I can spontaneously convert any spell into summon monster 1. However I cannot specialize my spells with my spell specialization feat, because I do not know the spell summon monster 1. I only know summon nature's ally 1. Which I can memorize and cast and specialize in. Is this true at higher levels too? aka spell specialization has a strong anti-synergy with the converting of summons.

Or is this only at level 1? because the level 1 nature's ally is a mite and a mite is a fey (the fact mite's fey is only a wild guess, I have no idea how to check)? and so only at levels where this is true does this quirk arise?

Last I checked I was sure summon ally gets specialization bonuses even if converted. Should be alright. Druids don't get summon monster at all iirc.

When I convert level 1 spells it's called summon monster 1 and it summons a celestrial dog, I don't have a good way to actually time it's duration though to see if the effect is effectual.

Maybe this is just a weird ui thing and it magically works despite the names being wrong. I guess.
Okay so I timed it.
Putting spell specialization on summon nature's ally 1. DOES NOT effect summon monster 1. Which is the name of the spell genenerated by the defender of the true's spontaneous casting feature.

This means there's virtually no reason for the degenerate druid to have spell specialization at level 1. Or if they are going to, they need to hard memorize summon nature's ally instead of things like magic fang, because they won't be able to use their spontaneous casting in unison with spell specialization.

edit:
I loaded up a hacked exp tutorial character. At level 3 and at level 5 the combo works, and spontaneous casting allows you to select summon nature's ally. It's only at level 1 that the combo doesn't work, and it's as I guessed because there is no non-fey summon choice for nature's ally. At most higher ranks there is always a non-fey choice because you can always with summon monster or summon ally choose 1 stronger creature or 1dx weaker ones.

Indeed. Just checked. I never noticed owlcat f-ed it up with dotw level 1 spell conversion.

InEffect: HOrc/Rogue/Hard-Viable for volklore
Hey InEffect I wanted to ask if you would recommend this build or your Noble Assassin build for a rogue character?

https://www.gog.com/forum/pathfinder_kingmaker/ineffect_builds_for_you/post223 probably. It's overall a better build, Can be done just fine on a human or an orc.

Ah thanks. Not the biggest fan of half lings though to be honest.

Race doesn't matter much for that one. Just pick something with a dex bomus.

Thank you very much. One last question are there any feats I would have to change if I were to go Human or Orc? This one is usually my biggest head scratcher when it comes to builds.

You'd have to toss cautious fighter since it's halfling racial and take accomplished earlier. What you take at 19 doesn't really matter then. Can get decietful or whatever. If you pick something with a feat you can get something social there too. Will help with checks.
