Hello,

[SPOILER]

I defeated the king troll in old dwarf castel without Harrim on my party.

So I'm back with him to solve his personnal quest, but I can't enter in the castel .... and .... can't finish his quest.

Did I miss something ?

InEffect: did you click the anvil?
May be impossible. I had Harrim with me but asked the Kobolds to join as vassels at the end of fight. After discussion with Tartuk we are teleported outside the front entrance and can no longer go back in. Didn't think to click on Anvil during the fight :-). But his quest immediately failed for me to let me know that my choice blocked that path.

oh that. basically allying with either of those makes his quest unfinishable, cause leaving anvil to them is part of the bargain

technically clicking anvil with harrim in party should trigger the cutscene. if it doesn't then yeah you likely broke sequence and it's bugged now.

Not that i know of. He said it himself: he clicked on the anvil, but without Harrim in his party. Of course nothing happens then. Its Harrims quest.
I didn´t had Harrim with me, when i conquered the fortress, and nothing happend either, when clicking on the anvil. Later on i went back there with Harrim, clicked on the anvil and it triggered the quest. But ok, this was before the last 4 or 5 last patches.

It's a bug. You can't get back inside even if you don't ally with trolls or kobolds.

Can this be confirmed as a bug, or working as intended?

It's particularly insidious, as the kobold alliance has it's own cutscene, and you don't realize you've broken things elsewhere until far along the road. Even if you have Harrim in your party, he doesn't comment.

Doubly annoying because I'm playing a CN-type who gets along with Harrim fine, but the CN resolution is to keep the kobolds.

Wouldn't it be simpler to let the Kobold merchant sell the stone, then play the cutscene when bought?

this is not how harrims powers work. there is no getting the stone without unmaking the anvil

although I don't see why kobolds would need it with the trolls gone.
