I see yours and others posts on Owlcat regarding this. I don't know. Rolling back the game seems like a really weak answer. I see your one post never even was addressed.
I downloaded version 2.1.0.j today, in addition to the rescue problem requiring DLC, there were also problems:
no last save was at the oleg post, the character only moved when he was talking to someone, that is, he was not moving freely around the scene.
despite the portrait having all the shipments of weapons, only the first shipment was available and quadrupled for all other shipments.
im brazilian, sorry english errors
then I tried version 2.0.1.h and the above problems continued (the one referring to the DLC nor tested)

FYI today's patch, 2.1.0k fixes the problems with the DLC not registering. (At least for me)

So it should be safe to update now.

All I see are 2.1.0h
2.1.0k work fine with DLC .

If you're using the standalone installers (as I am), GOG has so far neglected to issue either patches or full installers updating the game to 2.1.0i, j, or k. I have no idea why it's taking them so long to do this.

The lack of support here has been really frustrating.

Thanks for the heads up, it seems to work fine.

While GOG haven't updated the installer or offered any offline patches for I & J, both are completely broken with DLC's. I would give them a bit of time to update the installer to K version.

I do hope though that they provide a patch from 2.1.0h -> 2.1.0k to prevent downloading the entire game again.

Anyone noticed that the definitive edition (2.1.0h) is more than 4GB smaller than 2.0.8?

Me being paranoid, I wonder if we lost some texture resolution in the process of providing a port to console, or whether they simply found a much more efficient way of compressing the game without loss of detail.

I noticed some icons actually look better (spells & abilities) than before, though some textures look pretty muddy. I've just entered the valley of the dead segment, and the dungeon looks very nice, but the outside ruins and gate don't look all that fantastic. However as I started playing relatively recently, it is all new content so I can't tell if it is better or worse that what it was prior to the definitive edition update.

Yes, I recognize that is true, but if GOG is pushing all the latest updates to users of the Galaxy client, they should be updating the standalone installers as well. I've never found this to be a problem with any other game, or even this game prior to last week. I'm wondering if their support staff is getting swamped with other game releases.

Fair enough, to tell the truth I would prefer that they update their offline installers simultaneously with their GOG client releases. I kind of tolerate it as I've found that often I need to download the entire game again rather than a smaller patch so using the GOG client to update is usually much faster.
hi all,
sorry maybe wrong topic and I'm new;
i got a problem launching the game, no Kingmaker.exe file installed!
anyone?

This sounds like either a corrupt install or you've installed the game into some protected directory (like Program Files).

If you use Galaxy, try the verify/repair option. If you use the standalone installers, reinstall the game to an accessible path and/or download it again.

If nothing works, file a support ticket with GOG. Posting on these forums is not likely to be seen by GOG support staff.
