So I've just bought the game. I remember playing it an extremely long time ago (Back in the early 2k's) in Russian on a very old PC still running Windows XP or 98.

Only recently I've re-discovered the name of the game and I wanted to give it another shot now that I have a better attention span than a goldfish and in general am better at games.

I've started up the game and it immediately started in the 480*640 resolution in fullscreen making my second screen useless.

Is there a way to run this in window mode? Or any widescreen patches?

I've read that you can run this on DosBOX and that might solve these issues? But honestly I am not sure how to work with that

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

Thanks for this, but dayum! Unfortunately following this guide is impossible at this point.

Windows 10 has broken a bunch of things and the most crucial part (Aka copying the windows CD) is impossible via windows itself (It refuses to mount anything other than a .vhd or .vhdx format)

And when using xcopy - For some reason I am getting an error where I am unable to create directories on one of the mounted drives...

So I'm a tad stuck.

If you know how to use doxbox would be very glad for the help!
So I've managed to finally install Windows98 SE on DosBox-X but copying the whole Parkan folder from my HDD into this system causes it to blue screen.

And when I try to copy the GOG install file onto the windows system it says that I need to upgrade my system (lol)

I wonder if I should try Windows XP instead

Unfortunately not. I am thinking to try PCEM or a similar emulator and run Windows XP on it.

Just been too busy with Baldur's Gate 3 to tinker with this
