Just in case after re-installing if it still doesn't work is there an error log I can find when it crashes?
chrislog.txt, but a lot of that was turned off in PESE release versions.

*.xyz files are debug for the PESE 1.0 to 1.2 programmer.

PEx added MenuErrorLog.txt, but that is the main GUI and limited to bugs I was hunting.

Work has slowed down and I have returned to work on the new object editor. While reviewing some saved chats, I ran across this conversation SloMo and I had. We have both forgotten about it, so I am reminding him ;)

forget that bug al, its working now with and without the rrf. seems the windows virtual store feature stores some files in a folder and these give me problems with PE i just deleted the PE folder/OE directory it created there and then the OE works ok again, not sure even how that virtual store thing works except that it messes up PE and has caused me hrs to find this out

I wonder how many other people have problems with PE because of that?

could be a few, it is in both vista and win7
that was also what prevented me from getting a mp game up and running
i fxxxx with....oops everything i could think of trying to diagnose that
found it by fluke when doing a file search

Could you post that in the MP forum?

yes of course, if i forget remind me please
