So Painkiller Hell and Damnation just got released and it plays like a slightly more polished version of the first painkiller. I wish it was on gog but it doesn't appear that it will be. Anyway what's your thoughts on the game?

Haven't got it, but from what I've heard, it's an awful remake.

I normally form my own opinion, but I'm short on budget for buying new games and I've grown to trust that guy's judgement over the years (he made me great recommendations). Maybe I'll check the demo to see if it's really as bad (if there is a demo, of course).

Well, from what I've read from multiple sources (Destructoid and a Hungarian game magazine), it's not *horrible*, just a shorter, prettier version of Painkiller Black.

To anyone who thinks about buying this turd:

Forget it. Stick with Black Edition. Hell and Damnation is a waste of your money.

It's prettier but it's missing a third of the levels. Not a good trade IMO.

And it's bugged to hell and back.

Long story short:
Got it, played it through, it was a let down.
The graphics are better, but three quarters of the levels are missing, and the added new bossfight is just crap.
there are also less monsters, and less type of monsters.
There's supposed to be a coop mode, but i haven't try that one yet.
I wanted to play coop on the military base level, and you know what? it's been cut too :(
