Although good, can this be counted as an old game?
I'd say not. It wasn't released that long ago and I think there's a danger of similar, 'more new than old' games sneaking in.
What do you think?
Its already been discussed here:

And the general consensus seem to be that yes 5 years old is old enough. Not even being the newest game in GOG collection (as pointed out by cogadh) as long as its good, cheap and compatible the release date is entirely a subjective expression.

Would that be bad? I actually welcome the availability of newer games in a great store like GOG, so as long as the keep trying to sell some of the great old classics, I don't mind the newer stuff, and I'm happy to see that it broadens the customer base of GOG, and that they still continue to sell the games at such a low price.
Hell, I would love to see "Sins of a Solar Empire", Psychonauts, NOLF2, Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, Saints Row 2, etc etc being sold on GOG, and despite the fact that the name implies "old" games, I don't think that it should be regarded as a holy principle of some sort.
How I see it is if the games allowed to be sold for either 5.99 or 9.99 then its probably old enough for this site, assuming its a good game.

Indeed. I have said from the beginning, if you can find the game on the "10 bucks or less" discount rack in your local software store, then as long as the game is also good, it is eligible for the GOG treatment, regardless of actual age.
old is relative to someones view.
And obviously the publisher made a good deal with gog (or/and the other way around) so why not?
After all it's a good (old) game!
That's the great thing about these forums. The chance to take on another point of view.
And actually yes. I tend to agree with you all now that i see those points of view.
Thanks
It's old enough to be off the shelves. While it is still obtainable from many netshops, so are many of the games on GOG. For example the Fallout games which can still be found even in stores.

I agree.
I mean it was about a year ago that I last saw a copy of Sacred on the shelves. Although the game itself does not strike as being old the truth is it isn't new either.
Same goes for Painkiller and other games on GOG.com
As long as we get some of the oldies (that still deserve a place in GOG.com) I am fine with more recent games
It's an awesome time waster and is great online. Old? Depends on your view. It is good so why does 'old' matter???

Because the name of the site/service is Good OLD Games. In some people's opinions, games that are less than 5 to 10 years old are not really "old" (not my opinion, mind you).

True, but there are quite a few games here that are still full of multiplayer even though it's old as dirt.
The good thing about gog.com opposed to the gamestop on the corner is that when gog takes in a "new" game like this, it doesn't mean that they have to remove an old one, since physical room is no limitation for gog (when it comes to their merchandise at least..)
If gog takes in a "new" game, chances are they make money. Money for gog means that gog can continue to sell games, grow bigger and get new (older) releases..
The g's in the name is more important than the o.. As long as the majority of the games are "real" oldies, there is no reason not to have some greenhorns around..
It's newer than Doom but older than Fallout 3.
