Hi all,

We've uploaded a new patch for Outcast 1.1 version 1.1.3.18756 to your game shelves. Please download this patch at your earliest convenience in order to get the latest and greatest version of the game :)

Version 1.1.3.18756 Changelog:

- Noticeable performance boost in native fullscreen mode and stabibility fixes.
- Intro video in higher quality (the single .MKV file replace the 3 .WMV files)
- Automatic saving before going through a Daoka or before playing a cinematic

Thanks for the link! I guess I'll wait for the later patch.
Great performance increase on my overclocked AMD FX 8320E System. Outcast is now running faster with activated Bilinear Filtering than prepatch without BF. Thank you!

tested it , now game runs faster if you are playing in the NATIVE RESOLUTION mode...and when this game crashes now it does not kick you in the nuts with you loosing 30 mins of gameplay but does a save 5 sec before the crash ... and autoloads it .... its simple put magic.... but still the GUI icons in 1080p resolutions are fracking small

How well does it run in windowed mode?
So there's a new complete installer with the version-number 2.2.0.19, and it's for both XP (lol) and Vista+, correct?
The patch for Vista+ has the version 2.1.4.18, but it is at the same patch-level as the new complete installer?
The patch for XP (lol) has the version 2.2.0.19 and is also at the same patch-level as the new complete installer?
The "XP-Patch" also runs on Win7. It is just that the first patch accidentally lead to an XP incompatibility because of a new feature. They fixed this issue with the next patch and because it was easier, faster and prevented win7 users from downloading the newest patch without it being nescessary GOG decided to add the newest patch titled XP-Patch. I cannot tell you why GOG made a new complete installer, though. Maybe they just renamed it so it does match the newest patch?

Question: is there a reason why you added a "lol" everytime you mention XP?

Don't be so touchy. I still have a XP partition for gaming myself.

I was just curious not touchy.
I have tried this patch and it was way better than the previous version with regard to stability. However, I did get an annoying cutscene bug:[POTENTIAL MILD SPOILERS]

In the second-last and last cutscenes of the game, at a certain point the cutscene would halt and the game would auto-reload my previous save. Since this included the final cutscene, this meant that I missed the credits and report of my % completed. The specific places were:

- in the second-last cutscene, i.e., the "revolution in the streets of Talazaar", it cut out right after the Shamaz killed the soldier rather than healing him
-in the last cutscene, it cut out right after Cutter says "The yods? I thought your Guardians did that?"

I got around these by pressing "skip cutscene" as soon as they started, and watching the full ones on YouTube. But really sad to end such a wonderful game by dealing with irritating bugs. Still, I'm focussing on all the positive experiences I had along the way!

This was on Win7 pro SP1. If you can suggest a file upload service, I'll be happy to upload the relevant saves.
