Hi all,

We've uploaded a small patch for Outcast 1.1 named "Patch 1.1.2.18736" on your gameshelves. Please download this patch in order to get the latest and greatest version of Outcast 1.1 :)

Changelog for patch 1.1.2.18736:


New: Borderless fullscreen support (cefault, user can still force native fullscreen)
Fixed: Improve launcher compatibility issue under Windows 8.1
Fixed: Improve fullscreen toggle, vsync and slowdown issues related to Directdraw buffer access
Fixed: Sound settings no more reseted when changing map and persistent between games
Fixed: Refactored ingame options menu
Fixed: Potential crashes when leaving a world (ie end game cinematic)
Fixed: Save game can now be done without keyboard
Fixed: Various bug fixes and stability improvements

Is this mouse cursor bug with windowed mode fixed? In the previous version, when the user disabled Fullscreen mode, the cursor would not stay in the window and it made it very difficult to play the game.

I don't know myself, really. All I know is what's in the changelog, sorry :(

Best way to find out would be to try it yourself :P

Hi there. I cannot install the patch. This message in the image is pop up in installer. I have the original version 2.0.0.14 installed. What's going on here?

One of the patches contained a large amount of changes, and was released as a new installer instead of a small patcher. You need to download the installer for version 2.0.2.16, install it, then apply the new patch to that.

You have to re-download the game again its now 2.0.2.16 ...
they changed the main 1.1 game when they updated it with the 1.1.0.18715 patch that was too big to be a patch , so they repacked the whole game again with this new patch...

so get 2.0.2.16 GOG game and then this 2mb file (2.1.3.17) that updates your game to 1.1.2.18736

from 1.1.0.18715 to 1.1.2.18736

I just installed the patch and now the v1.1 game won't launch anymore. :( The error involves OC1.1.exe and shows this information:

AppName: oc1.1.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: oc1.1.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 004081ba

I'm pretty sure I downloaded what the site claims is version as 1.1.0.18715. So does this mean I should have no trouble with the patch? Also, if the level info was changed to 2.0.2.16 why not update the website?

By the way, how does one verify the level of outcast? From this 'new update' I discovered I don't know how. ;)
