Last few weeks I've been trying to solve the frame screen issue by downloading all sorts of patches, ini tweaks, etc etc but I just can't play this dam game in fullscreen.
We gamers who first bought the game back in the old days shouldnt be forced to buy a digital copy just to play the game the way it was meant to be played...

And GOG staff is not in any way or form obliged to offer support for any other versions of the games beside their own. _Zenger_ is also free to decide what version he supports with his patches. So I'm not quite sure who you're pissed at exactly. And if someone really wanted to make CD/DVD version compatible version of _Zenger_'s patches, they could rather easily do it by buying GOG version and comparing vanilla GOG exe to exe patched with _Zenger_'s patch and writing patch for CD/DVD versions.

I'm not pissed at anyone mate. Just pissed at the whole thing :)
I wanted so badly to play the game at high resolutions but all the patches I've tried results in errors. I'm not pissed or angry at anyone :)

So, i take it you love Outcast, right ?
Is is really that big of a deal to pay the $5.99 for gog's version ? Not only will you have a version that works with the patches you're interested in, you're also supporting a service that tries its best to rekindle the interest in these old games.
I'm sorry things aren't working out for you with your version, but $5.99...well...

Yeah I love Outcast! Mostly out of nostalgic reasons, it's not the best game ever made obviously IMO.
It's more a personal thing I have that I don't wanna buy the same game twice. I'm stubborn as a donkey but when all those patches fails, I'm really considering to buy it once more.
I's not about the price at all, more about personal priciples.
I'll quit whining :D
