Curunauth: FRAPS probably would work too, but I prefer free full programs (open source) to free limited programs :-).
Waltorious: I've never heard of Greenshot but if it's free AND fully featured, I should take a look.
Well, unlike FRAPS, it can't do video capture, so it's not a total FRAPS replacement.
I actually prefer ZScreen, which has a lot more power and customizability (importantly, you can change the bindings, and I dislike that Greenshot binds PrtSc to area-capture rather than window or screen). ZScreen is also open source (so again, the full version is both free and trustworthy).

Nice to have both though; no system-resident clutter when they're not running, so I can just switch to Greenshot for Outcast and I guess anything else that mysteriously blocks ZScreen.
ZScreen also has ZUploader, which I don't use, but lets you automatically upload to a wide variety of services, auto-translate captured text, and other fun things. It has WAY more power than I use, but it does exactly what I want for simple captures.
BTW, could you reply with something mentioning your FRAPS suggestion as well as saying that Greenshot works where ZScreen fails, so I can mark it as a solution and have all the info in one post? Thanks.
