I'm running Windows XP SP3 and I see the intro in all its chunky glory, I then get a little round menu screen, I change a few options but when I select 'new game' the game quietly closes.

Any ideas?

I have a similar problem, but I'm running Win 7 HP 64-Bit. Double-Click Outcast, watch the intro, click new game, screen goes black, and then an error pops up saying: OC1.exe has stopped working. From what I'm seeing in other posts, it's an issue with my Nvidia graphics card.

The only options I can change in the Loader settings is mouse sensitivity, and click OK. All other buttons in the settings, including the Cancel button, do not work.

Don´t forget to link the other .exe files in the fix too !

so you must have this as as sample : oc1.exe;oc2.exe;oc3.exe;loader.exe

all in one fix !
