After my encounter with the indian I am pretty much lost in the caverns and I stopped counting how often I died. Is there any way to find out where to go? GPS seems to be useless as well.

Sure. This part of the game is tricking some people up and so I may look at some changes.

Not to totally give it away, but you should find some pyres which can light up and reveal things. There is a torch that can be used to light the pyres. If you have reached first swinging bridge in the caverns you should be able to see it.

Guess what. I woke up and my first thought was "OMG - you have a torch and wood ..." now I think I can move forward. Thank you for trying to help me as well. Other than that I suck at stealth games (that's pure me) let me say that so far I really love the game. :)
