Might be but remember windows 7 is not officialy supported. Also make sure that your firewall allows connections for the game - sometimes a game will not start or will get an error if the firewall blocks its connection (or the confirm/allow connection window appears whilst the game is loading.
You might also need to make the game an exception for your virus scanner as well since there is the change of a false posetive within the game beind detected - no threat to you but it can mess up the game if the virus scanner stops it working.
I have Windows Firewall disabled. I've tried shutting down AVG, reinstalling and trying to run the game again. I'm thinking it's Windows 7. I'll probably end up running this on my laptop, which is running Windows XP.
Oh well, it's not a big deal, most of the GoG games I've purchased have run fine on Win7.

Have you tryed to run the game in the different compatibility settings in windows 7? I know you can set it to run under windows xp compatibility. You may need to reinstall it under compatibility mode if it doesn't just work.
Thisone is a longshot, but, I have had this one happend to me, the owarfull.exe gets quarantened by my antivirus (AVG can be a tad overzealus sometimes) when using the launcher, there is no errormessage when the "Real" .exe that is the maingame is missing. ;) so check you antivirus vault/history to se if that is the trubble.
I am having the same problem in vista x64 and 32 bit XP. Also I could not find an owarfull.exe only a owarful.dll. I also installed it with the AV off and tried to run it with it off to no results.

Antivirus programs do daily scans, so it have probably been removed by a scan. check the virusvault..

I did, it was not there. Also with the AV off I re installed and looked for the file and it was missing.
@Windows 7: Windows 7 has never been tested. Original War is compiled in Delphi 6 on a machine running XP. Vista has been tested by users and it should work fine in vista.
@AVG: A very simple answer is to just turn off the resident shield and scan all files you download manually before using them. That way your pc will be faster(As its not scanning everything you run/see) and you won't get any wrongly quarantined files. But you do have to manually scan all files that you download if you do that.
