Hey, bit of a random question but I remember playing this game on Dreamcast as a kid and at one point I died while playing as the dude with red hair.

I remember it not being a scripted death (as in I screwed up) but the game moved on anyway and I started playing as a female character. I'm just curious, is it possible to get through the game without dying, and if you die as the second character do you move on to another character again?

It just struck me as a really cool feature but maybe I remembered it wrong and his death was scripted.

It's not possible to go the whole game without migrating to another soul. It will be required to get out of your situation.

If you die and no one sees you, then your soul goes right to Aragoth, or whatever his name is, and the game is over. "Scripted" fights where you win mean you stay in your current character. If there is an onlooker and you die, you inhabit that onlooker. Of course, if you have the mana and other requirements, you can inhabit the more finely articulated characters on the spot.

Ah cool so you can take on more characters; it always seemed to ambitious to be true but I guess that's why it was a cool game.
