Post is fairly self explanatory. I read somewhere that if you rush around with Kay'l after a certain fight, he gets uncontrollably killed, which sucks. My Kay'l somehow has maximum fight level.

Instead of throwing my beloved Kay'l away, I decided to reincarnate as some dude I found in a bathroom, ow there appears to be a "ghost"of Kay'l in the bathroom... but I cannot reincarnate back.

So how does the system work? Would I eventually run out of people to reincarnate into?

The 'ghost' will fade away. There are lots of people you can reincarnate into throughout the game. If you get killed while someone is watching, you automatically reincarnate into the person who saw you die. If no one is around, Azarath gets your soul. Bwahahahahaha!

Just a quick question to add to the one by ShadowWulfe:

I reincarnated from Kay'l into Jorg, then into some guardsman just before the mission with the bridge. Is it at all possible to return to the body of Jorg? If so, how can I do that?

As far as I know, your former hosts disappear from the game once you reincarnate in a new body. If you don't like the current one, you can download a FAQ/strategy guide that lists all the available hosts in the areas you currently have access to, including their stats.
