It seems that this game isn't all that loved here on GOG (two star rating), but i read that a New patch was released With many fixes. Is this game god now?
What are Your thoughts on the game now? Has it improved? Is it now Worth the Money?

I'm wondering about the same!
Take a look here. Better check the whole thread.
It might help you decide.

Thank you for the reply. I'm still undecided on the game. I would like a good sandbox, gangster management sim though!

How is Your decision coming along?
I got it the other day when it was on sale and I have enjoyed it. Totally worth the 10 bucks. There is a demo available on steam if you are still on the fence, I don't think it has any of the new features of the latest patches though.

You're welcome.

Since I read it's a good enough game for $11,I think I'll risk buying it.

It would be excellent if there were no DLC:
DLCs make the game a frankenstein one: you see they don't really are part of the game, they remove immersion for they are actually ingame named 'DLC' and are badly integered in the gameplay (you don't have enough a big squad to be usefull, and their weapons will make the game easier).
But if you don't take the DLCs, you don't really have the complete game...
Damn DLCs, they are expensive and harm the games.

That sound terrible! I also read in one review that the Developer is acting abusively towards their costumers. Does anyone know what that is all about?

I bought it, but I didn't play it yet.
The DLC is completely optional. It's like a bonus mission and come with a bonus character. The vanilla version already have tons of character with variety of personality and trait. You have to work through the campaign mission in order to unlock more badass character and more slot for gang member. I have to say it's more than enough.

Before each chapter begin, you'll start at City Map with couple of missions for your choosing. These DLC appear on that same City Map. You can skip these DLC missions since it have no real bearing on the story progression. You'll still see the same cutscenes, same story progression every time you completed a chapter. Whether it make the game more complete or not is irrelevant since some of these bonus mission feels more like a spin-off, a departure from the main campaign.

However, without the discounted price the game and the DLCs are quite overpriced.

A good comparison would be Durlag's Tower in Baldur's Gate. It's an optional area with decent loot, though if your party isn't experienced enough, you will get slaughtered. You can safely skip the area without missing anything from the story, and the game is a complete experience without ever visiting the area. It may add a bit more to the lore and/or setting of the game, but it's not essential.
Omerta's DLCs are that way. They add a bit more lore, they add a bit more loot, but if your party isn't up to the task, you will get slaughtered. You can safely ignore them though without any consequences to the story.

As for the "Incomplete" part, it depends on what you consider complete. How many Star Wars movies must one see before he has seen the complete Star Wars? 1? 3? 6? 9? 250? Must he also watch the series? Read the books? These DLCs are the same way, they expand on the established lore, but are not required. And this does come from a collector/hoarder with an OCPD that makes him want to collect everything.
I just read some reviews here and i was pretty shocked at them, It looks like nearly every one was posted the day the game launched, Hardly enough time to make a good reading on the game. Sure i suppose you could say, this game isn't for me after an hour, But is that really worth your time to leave a hate review?

that said, the game has really come a long way over the last 4+ months. A new recent patch has added a ton of new gameplay, and a rival gang in sandbox mode, which on higher difficulty levels really adds some challenge.

new features like wounds that don't heal until a certain time passes, and only if you have a hospital really adds some depth. The higher difficulty levels, and iron man, No in mission saves add big challenges. Have your crew get beat down during a mission, and suddenly you have another battle on your hand while your crew is still beat up can mean you lost not only one, but 2 or three of your money making ventures.

neither side, of the city management, or turn based combat i would consider being hugely deep, but the combo of the two, with the nostalgia of the 20's really is fun. the campaign is a decent little story, and the sandbox with the new rival gangs adds a lot of depth.

I got about 40 hours of enjoyment out of it., and will play it again in the future.

Is it worth the money? that is up to the user.. some people think only 5 dollar games are worth the money.. Others look at how many hours of enjoyment they got to be worth while. For me i always say, a dollar an hour for gameplay/worth.. So for me the game was worth it.. But for a 10 dollar sale.. Id say give it a shot
