I have been saving my single-player game every turn. It turns out (ha ha) that the game save files all contain turn 73 - this being the save files from turn 73 to 90 (where I am now).

Is this a known issue?

Does anyone know where to report bugs to the devs? [Edit: turns out there is a bug report option in the pause menu, almost at the bottom.]

For me all saves load turn 29 while I was at 39 yesterday.

However I play the "Test" version for the german language and got a patch just before. Not sure if the patch is related to this problem.
I have the same bug - all autosaves although named differently are the same savepoint.

Another Savegame bug I have is, that saving takes progressively longer the more turns I play. As it turns out, the savegames get quite big (150 MB+ a piece).
This is a bug Paradox had with HOI when it first came out.
I am a bit dissapointed that this bug was not found in betatesting. This savegame is unplayable for me atm.
Happend to me again now. Second time some hours of progress are lost.
I thought it might have to do with the quicksave, but I did not use F10 this time.
Is this problem only on GOG? Related to the cloudsave maybe...???
Mine too. No matter what save I load, it's always round 1. This is very unfortunate. :((

Also I get an achievement every time I start the game.

Hopefully this will be fixed. I love the game and the developers! =))))
I was going to buy the game, but now I think I’ll wait….
I did contact the support on discord. Here is the intersting part:

When I load my save I mostly get a message that Portait++ has been loaded. But sometimes I get a huge message asking me to download a full screen of neccesary mods I never heard about. I always go back and try loading again when this happens.

Thanks for testing it out! We did find and fix a replay bug that could possibly be the cause of this issue, but why this happens only on GoG is still a mystery. Anyway, the fix will be in the next release of the test branch.

Ugh it's the replays? Honestly as much as I like the gameplay, if they don't let us disable replays very soon I'm going to have to refund this since it makes the game so buggy it's unplayable.

Everything else in the game is fine, but first the replay data bugs out and makes my save files 190+mb zip files, making the game unplayably laggy and disabling cloud saves.

Then I manually remove the replay and it just prevents the game from saving? It's a terrible feature and we NEED a way to disable it.

I was having the same problem with saved games. Couple of things I did. 1) I had galaxy verify/repair the installation of the game. 2) I changed the shortcut to run as admin.

Don't know which of those things fixed my issue, but my saved games seem to work now.

They released a patch that was supposed to fix this, so it may have just been the verify forcing the patch install or something:

"Fixed issue with replay causing issues with GoG Saves"

Oh, nevermind - they released a patch that said it fixed this problem but it didn't.

Game is still effectively unplayable, saves updated for a few turns and then went back to not functioning.

I thought this might be worth trying to resolve the problem.

But then I realized the offline installer actually doesn't let you install the latest patch so I can't use my old save files to check.

I got a notification on my account when Old World received the last update. I was sure they had updated the offline installers. If the version number of the present installers haven’t changed since the last update they probably didn’t. Since then I have downloaded the new installers but the old version of the game is still on my computer.

What is the in-game version number with the latest update?

Edit:

After downloading the offline installer again and then reinstalling the game the in-game version is 1.0.60410 release (5/18 2022). So, if there`s been a change in the version number after the Galaxy update this hasn`t changed in the offline installer. Sadly there`s no official information on this saving issue nor the update here on GOG. Hopefully the devs is supporting the offline version too because I`m not going to install Galaxy to play this.
