Whenever I start the game, I get an error.
"Windows - No Disk / Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x75E692A0 0x00000004 0x75E692A0 0x75E692A0"
After clicking any of the buttons 3-4 times, it starts normally, and it's playable, but this error is kind of irritating. Does anyone else get the same error?
Using Vista SP1, by the way.

I get this error as well. Atleast the game works :)
I get the same thing, and I'm running XP, so it's not a Vista problem.
Hi there
Yes, this sometimes happen. Game doesn't require cd to play, but on some systems may behave in that way. If you click Ignore or Cancel there will be no problems during gameplay.

Fair enough. It's not really a problem; I was mainly just curious.
I've marked this topic as SOLVED as it seems that it's the best it'll ever get.
I get the disk error, but the "Try Again" button doesn't do anything, and clicking the "Cancel" or "Continue" buttons a couple of times blacks out the screen, then takes me back to the desktop with the standard WinXP "Your program has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience" message.
I downloaded this at work and tested it there, and it runs fine on my work computer, but not on my home computer, where I actually play all my games.
Windows Xp SP3, Intel Core2 6600, 2GB RAM, Nvidia 8600GTS, Built-in sound.

Same problem for me when running on winxp; has there been any progress on this issue as its definitely not solved
I'd also love to see this fixed as it is still not solved. Abe's Exoddus does not do this and it's the same game engine so it seems to me that this is something that could be fixed...

Furthermore, I think this is because of card readers in your computer, for example I have a card reader with 4 slots (SD/XD/MS/CF, etc...) that then creates 4 devices in My Computer (F:, G:, H: and I:) and these devices are "Empty" until you insert a card into them. When running Abe's Oddysee I have to click continue 4 times to get it started, so I'm guessing the game is probing these 4 devices and when they're unable to be read it pops up the error. Seems to me like the rest product of a CD check that was never completely removed.

edit: My guesses seem correct, I tried disabling all card readers in device manager and indeed the game starts without the errors. I have my card readers in my PC for a reason though, so I still would like to see the problem corrected in the game :P

As for the problem in the two posts above, it's probably not related to the errors popping up but rather I think you guys have a secondary error as well.
