MarkoH01: Ran flawlessly from start to finish (GTX1060/1080p/45-60fps) and not a single crash (or save crash) for me. That is the problem with todays possible amount of hardware combinations. I am sorry that it did not run for you but as you can see this has not be to be the case for everybody (another user with whom I talked about the game also had no crashes and it ran smoothly). Still I would never advice to pay full price if you already own the original since there simply is not enough new to discover in the redux version.
Zoidberg: How is your post helping in any way? The whole "but it runs smoothly on mine and a friend's" argument is not receivable.
Original ran decently, and had no crashes I remember. My advice is to avoid this, even at 5€ it's not worth it.
edit: mmh, interesting to know: poor performances may be because of the ray tracing, the main feature of this redux. Bleargh.
Well, it is helpful to those for which the game WILL run (and who still might avoid the game bjust because of your post) which is in fact obviously not zero. You telling customers to avoid the game like a plague because it is not running for YOU might lead to the impression that it won't run for anybody and that it is bug ridden - and that's simply not the fact.
And btw: ray tracing was NOT the main feature of the redux version. They changed a lot of lightning effects and improved resolution as well. Both versions look quite different even without ray tracing.
