I have been trying many times per day for three days now to install the Aug 30th update/patch "GOG-4 HOTFIX 1", but after it says "Updating" for a few minutes, it stops with the error message "SERVER PROBLEM. RETRY".

Has anyone been successful? Is the server just too busy?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I've been trying to find someone who can tell me how to tell if the latest patch has actually been installed on my PC. I was told that it is done automatically within GOG Galaxy but I can find no proof of the update actually happening. I do not get any reaction when I click on the GOG-4 HOTFIX 1 link other than what's in the changelog. How were you able to manually force a download and installation of the hotfix? Btw, the latest changelog indicates a date of 9/8/16 (attached).

Thanks,
Steve

GOG-4 is the old one, the new version, as I see on my account page, is GOG-5.

From your account page (skip anything called "Galaxy" for the moment):

- open up the page for Obduction
- click on "more" and select "GOG downloader links"
- you will get one entry, the installer (WIN or MAC)
- click on this, and your download will start.

You can specify where the files (three: one exe and two bin files) will be stored on your machine.
When the download has finished, execute the exe and you are done.

Works anytime perfectly - and the best: you will not have to rely on "Galaxy" (nothing but a troublemaker in the current state of developement).

Good luck....

Or skip all that and get your own offline installer, by clicking on the shelf Icon to see the offline installer files.
Allowing you to reinstall without redownloading, and keep your own copy.
Thank you!! I forced a backup download of Obduction 1.01 (gog-5) 5.1 GB in Galaxy. I was able to locate where the new setup files are stored by Galaxy so I am good to go. I found the setup_obduction_2.2.0.5 .exe and .bin files in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\!Downloads\obduction

Btw, where is the 'shelf icon' in Galaxy; I'm not sure I know what you mean.

Thanks again for your kind responses! You both have been most helpful.

Steve
There seems to be a problem with the patched installer too.
The installer has the version number 2.2.0.5 but the bin files are 2.3.0.6. You have to rename those files with the old version number to install it. Gog needs to fix this.
