you need an actual graphics card to run this game
Same issue here. Win7 on Alienware, directx, bios, sound and video drivers updated. Gog customer service has said it's because I don't meet min specs but:

Win 7 Home x64
8GB RAM
Core i7-3610QM @ 2.3GHz
2GB DDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970M

My message reads:
LowLevelFatalError [File:E:\Obduction-Build-Folder\Obduction-Win-Editor\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util. cpp] [Line: 180]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x800700E '?')

Any help appreciated!

Well, i'm running the following, and i am getting the error as well:
Win10 64bit
AMD FX 8350 8 core at 4 GHz
16 GB Ram
AMD Radeon r9 380 w/ 4 GB
100+ GB available on an SSD

If i meet the recommended requirements, why am i too getting the same error as the guy with the the integrated graphics chip?

Which driver do you use? Google says it is due to driver problems.

I have Radeon Software Version 16.5.2.1 and had no problems whatsoever.
This is on Win7 64bit, but the Radeon driver should be the same version.

If you update the driver remember to use DDU for a clean upgrade.

It could be a driver issue or perhaps you are missing DX11. I would update your drivers and install/reinstall DX11.
my game was crashing when i installed the new version without removing the old files too.
i didnt checked the error log. removing the old game folder before installing the new version was working.
maybe a try for some people...
