First of all, there's a couple issues with the manual:

Page 26: "each character has the following six skills", but only 5 are listed.

On page 57, Blade Storm is listed as casting 69 MP (which is suspicious due to being more than the Intelligence requiement), but the table on page 110 lists it as only costing 21 MP (which seems more reasonable, though still a little pricey)

Then, the "Apple II hard drive and floppy disk images" extras has a couple issues:
* There appears to be no hard drive image here
* Trying to play with the floppies, and early on I'm asked to insert the KEEP disk, but the game does not seem to recognize this. (Playing on MAME with the apple2gs emulation)

Gaaa! Thanks for the manual typos - great catches!

The "HDV" file is the hard drive image. You should be able to use that in most Apple II emulators. That's actually what the Nox App is using - it's just an emulator that is loading the HDV file. I'm not 100% sure if the MAME emulator can use that. If not, I'd recommend using either the Nox App that comes with the game, or AppleWin on Windows or Virtual ][ on Mac.

We haven't tested using the floppy disk images with MAME - I know that they work with AppleWin. But again, you'll probably be happier using the HDV file.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above, and thanks for playing the game!

The zip file on GOG's extras doesn't contain the HDV file; that's the problem I'm reporting here. (It only contains the floppy images.)

The HDV file from the installer works in MAME if I convert it to chd using chdtool. (It loads *much* faster than the floppies, and doesn't require disk swapping, so it is definitely the preferred way to play the game.)

Ah ha, that's interesting. We just gave the files to GOG and they bundled them up. They probably didn't know that the HDV file was the actual hard-drive image. I'll see if I can get them to update the ZIP.

Happy to hear that you got it to work in MAME! Also, be sure to jump on our Discord server to chat with people playing the game. http://discord.noxarchaist.com
