This was confusing to me.
I am wondering where the game is saved? I am assuming the HDV file. Since the HDV file has a version number in the filename, what happens when the game gets an update? Is there a way to export the save? The manual says to backup the entire HDV file, but how does that work when the game gets an update?

I am playing with an emulator since I mentioned I was having issues reading the text running it directly from the app in GOG in the Video issues thread, but really the same question applies. The manual does say you need to make sure your new disk image retains the original file name if using the app, so would I always use Nox Archaist HDV (v114).HDV even when the version is updated?
Nevermind, I found instructions on the web site

For anyone else who reads this later, the above website has the most info. But the short answer is that the game is indeed saved to the HDV file. And it is a good idea to backup the HDV file every now and then, especially since you only get 2 save slots in the game and you never know if you'll get stuck in some no-win situation with both of them.

We're hoping to not need to do many updates. However, if we do, you can just use the "Import save game" from the main menu to transfer your old saved games to the new HDV file. As long as the file starts with the word "Nox Archaist" and ends with ".HDV" then the game will recognize it. So it doesn't have to have the same version number.

Hope this helps!
Then, I'd recommend any Galaxy user to disable the autoupdate feature, just in case.

I must undestand that if the update involves the patching of the game files themselves, not the emu, they are into the HDV file, so, it should be overwritten, I guess.
