Doen't open nox work with win 11?

Not sure.

Tried all the stuff in the Win 10 fixes post and nothing worked so went down the DGVoodoo route and got it running fine on Win 11

For me it worked going to the .exe file and changing compatibility to windows 95. It works, but now I canot launch the game anymore from the Galaxy app, only executing the .exe.

1- First of all, disable all compatibility options for the game shortcut.
2 - Then download the latest version of cnc-ddraw: https://github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw
3 - And unzip the file in the game root directory; open "cnc-ddraw config.exe" and make the changes you see fit.

cnc-ddraw doesn't trip "false" antivirus flags, and is super easy to use. Do exactly what SilentMRG said: Literally unzip the folder contents to your game folder, ensure ALL compatibility modes are turned off on game executables, then run the cnc-ddraw config.exe.

As for settings, I'm running a newer Alienware laptop, but using an external LG 34" widescreen monitor running 2560x1080 @ 60Hz. I had to play around with cnc-ddraw config a bit, but here's what I ended up with and it works like a CHAMP!

Display Settings: "Fullscreen Upscaled", Maintain aspect ratio "on" (these two settings allow your game to run in "fullscreen", with the proper resolution ratio for the game, regardless of your actual screen resolution but with a "letterbox" type black background). It's like running in windowed mode at full game resolution, but the black background hiding your desktop.

I also checked "Adjust mouse sensitivity" as many of these older games have uncontrollable mouse cursors at times.

IMPORTANT: Check the "lock cursor to window" or you may have issues with your mouse. The cursor will work fine in the main menu, but doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the game window when actually IN the game.

Also, if you choose to run in windowed mode, the "lock cursor to window" option is helpful because once you click in the game window, your mouse cursor will stay inside the game window instead of moving back to your desktop at inconvenient times (you can escape out of this to use the mouse on your desktop again using the hotkeys).

Advanced Settings: I left the renderer set to automatic (default) and the OpenGL Shader set to its default. (NOTE: I did play around with the different settings, but none of them resulted in any better or worse performance, so I set back to defaults here).

IMPORTANT: Check the "Enable windowboxing / integer scaling" button! Leaving this unchecked will result in a larger game window that fills your screen top to bottom, but you will probably run into the same issue as above with your mouse cursor not able to move to the bottom of your game screen!

Aside from that "Enable windowboxing / integer scaling" button, I have everything else unchecked. If you have stuttering video, you may want to turn on "limit frame rate". If you choose to use windowed mode, the "Show window borders in windowed mode" should be set to "off" if you want a nice, clean look. If you want the sizeable window with controls, turn this option on (for windowed mode only).

Hotkey Settings: I didn't change any of these from defaults. You can set these to whatever works best for you, especially helpful if running in windowed mode.

Compatibility Settings: I set the "Limit Gamespeed" option to "No Limit". I have not run into any issues with this so far. I also checked every box on this tab because, why not? They're all "fixes", right?

As I said, this is what worked for me, and I did play around with the various settings, especially windowed mode. These exact setting may not work for you, but should get you started. NOTE: The default display setting is "Fullscreen" and that resulted in a crash to my desktop every time. I imagine this will happen on ANY widescreen display, so this should be the first setting you change. If you want to play around with the various other settings, maybe start in windowed mode to see the effects without locking up your system.
