DLC's have been released, thus far, same day as Steam. Why is this different?

Asked them on Discord yesterday, they said it'd be here today. Guess a few hours are left...

Same as a diet, then :D
Finally out, along with the latest patch

That's great news, maybe you can help me out - If I own the Viking Age Edition, do I have to buy the expansion separately? I kinda paid for the rat and the lynx clan cuase the shop allowed me even though technically they were included in my version. I don't want to repeat the mistake again.

Yes, this expansion is not included in the Viking Age Edition, as it contains a new single player campaign along with the new faction.

And you can request a refund for the DLCs which you bought by a mistake, if that was not long ago - contact GOG's support.
is this a joke? 15$ for a DLC with less than 4hours gameplay?
They are just milking the cow until it's empty, aren't they?

I don't know where you took 4 hours from, completing 8 missions took me around 10 hours and there's an epilogue coming on January 19th. And that was only on the normal difficulty, replaying for different objectives would take another dozen of hours or so. Not mentioning playing the new clan in Conquest mode, and soon in multiplayer. I admit, I'm a casual player, but the amount of content is appropriate, and the quality of the missions is very nice, quite few new and unique mechanics were introduced.

I took the 4 hours from the description:
This 4-5 hour long new story brings new gameplay elements, replayability and will serve as an introduction to the future of Northgard… It is composed of:

- Cross of Vidar - 13th December 2022
- Cross of Vidar: Epilogue - 19th January 2023
