Jezz_X: so Its still not very clear when you say "latest PC Version" does that mean it includes the 1.03 patch for the game that was a day zero patch for the play-station ? because for all I know the latest pc version could be 1.00
I believe the GOG is including the 1.03 changes as the species Weight and Height are now correct, which they were not in the v1.0 PS4 videos.
Online still not working for me. It's never been able to connect.

I don't think this is the latest version. It doesn't have the changes they talked about in the patch notes (like reduced terrain popin, which is still really bad).

if there is a FOV slider then it is probably 1.03
There is an FoV slider yes

If you're using Galaxy and have updates for No Man's Sky automatically enabled (in the settings section for the game in your library), then it will automatically update once a patch becomes available. If you're using our website installers, then the patch will either be provided separately, or a brand new installer will be provided (you'll know it's a new installer because the gog number will change (currently it's gog-2)

ty :)
Hmm seems like the version you get through Gog Galaxy isn't the same. Online service work and it's a larger download than the manual install.

The only issue I'm having is inside of buildings and on stations areas look like the video card is dying where you see weird artifacts. Other than that locations and terrains look normal, even npcs look normal as in no artifacts there.

Can we please get confirmation on if this game is using GOG's new patching system or not? Meaning can the dev push out patches automatically... I would really like to know this. I've asked twice now. :(

Thanks.

They are the exact same. The size is different due to compression.

Devs have stated on steam that they'll roll out a beta branch to add support for those of us who are crashing. I would really like to know if I will get any option to opt into this branch through GoG; I've already contacted customer support and have not received a response.

I don`t think I`ve seen any Steam game Dev ever roll out its betas to GOG users. Maybe it`s just too much of a pain for them to do?
The games online features and even basic hits where gone when i played on i7 980ti, due to it being a ps4 port, my mouse sensitivity was off the scale, even at 800fpi from normal 2600dpi at 4k, it was a miracle i got as far in the game as i did to another star system, then the press "x" bug to switch between inventory items from the ship and forth, the worst of all problems is that all is get is ??????? everywhere on the options screen on the first tab, like its in russian and pc cant do the characters, after i reinstalled, for about now the 10th time, I noticed after the first time as I deleted my save files from mentioned to restart, that I can no longer boot the game, even after full system reboots numerous times. Please dont time me that since save files are on my client side that if you delete, or formate your pc and dont backup then you can no longer play the game.

Not that I want to argue with you again, but this isn't true. Galaxy offers the same exact beta feature for patches that Steam does and a number of games do use it. Not to mention GOG has also provided expriment patches directly on the site as standalone installers for a few games.

All I said is I don`t `think` I`ve ever seen GOG release betas for GOg users.

If you`re going to jump on me every time I say something, you and I will be arguing for a very, very long time.
