Hey guys,

Just wanted to answer the initial question about the update. The version on GOG in the latest PC one. There was a small update on Steam post-launch but as far as we know it only fixed an issue that was not present in GOG build (we are confirming it now). In addition, the online functionality seems to working (I'm playing the game now and it's working fine).

Cheers,
Paczyk

notepad: Do you have it set to 60fps and applied? Mine ran like crap, all chugging and jerking until I applied the 60fps setting properly (which meant holding the mouse button in until the circle animation finished). Now it runs much smoother.
Yeah, I did, changed everything with holding mouse button down until the animation is finished. Currently my frame cap is set to Max. But one thing is that, even tho the framerate is ass, the game is amazing after one hour of playing. So really mixed feeling now.

Akhiris: The PS4 and PC version are probably compiled differently so it would be 1.0. The check would be to rush the story and see if the three paths show up.

DarkLord79: That's an interesting train of thought - how much playtime will that cost you in case it is not patched? Since the save games have to be deleted before 1.03.
I would be curious if someone has seen/played both the PS4 version and the PC one. I cannot tell if we have the PS4 1.03 features or not.

wdirons: From Sean's twitter feed it seems like the two most common problems are:

1) People don't already have Visual C++ Redist 2010 installed. (Hello Games and probably steam have released a patch to install this now)

Since I can't post links you have to google "Visual C++ Redist 2010" and download it from Microsoft

2) People don't have their graphic cards updated to the latest drivers.
I also wanted to post this yet there is a "__redist" folder in the game folder of the GOG version containing the VC++ redistributables. Thus I assume the GOG version installs them properly beforehand.

But people having problems might still try running the installers from the __redist folder.

NMS.exe is a 64-bit executable yet they include both flavors x86 and amd64 for whatever reason and not only VC++ 2010 but 2013, too. Maybe for GOG's own tools like the uninstaller.

It took me two hours to get to the point where it shows you the paths. This is using the pre-order ship and having played it before on PS4.

The wording is identical to the PS4 portion as soon as you learn how to craft anti matter cells.

Thanks for confirming we aren't missing out on anything :).

This :). Please also ensure your drivers are up to date.

Also, we've confirmed that the patch on Steam was a Steam related fix. So, your version is up to date. If any do come in overnight, we'll do what we can to get them out ASAP
For everyone complaining about performance, please note that the peasants who developed this game capped it at 30fps by default. So pull out your PCMR card, go into settings and set FPS limit to MAX.

Yeah well. Wish I could even launch the game...
But being a dev myself I'll keep the torch and pitchfork in the cellar - for a while ;-)
At this moment game require SSE 4.1 support by CPU. Without it game will crash on logo screen. You still can run game using Intel SDE, but game will be slideshow.

Thanks for confirming, I could go back and play now.
Seems also that updating AMD drivers helped. There is a new Crimson beta driver that was published today, solved most of my issues at first.

Game crashed now, though, don't know why.

Just because you're a dev doesn't mean you have the right to lose your money for a game you bought in good fate.

YEs thank you for letting us know.

Now if I could figure out why there is no difference between low and high res textures I wil be happy.
so Its still not very clear when you say "latest PC Version" does that mean it includes the 1.03 patch for the game that was a day zero patch for the play-station ? because for all I know the latest pc version could be 1.00
