Downloaded but no dice. Help!

Go to options and choose redeem or something like that. I kept getting bothered by the message telling me to do so, until I finally relented.

aha, i was wondering if that was still an issue, luckily i haven't run the DLC installer yet. thanks for clarifying.

I'm just playing it safe and assuming it's still an issue.

You can run the installer, you just still have to activate it during the game.

When you say "activate it" it is all in game offline yes ? I get scared when I hear the word "activate" ;)

I don't know what you mean exactly, but another word I could use is 'redeem'.

When you play the game, you have to go into the options to redeem the ship. So you can play with the original ship for however long you want (like until you get the hyperdrive blueprint), then redeem the pre-order ship afterwards.

I've not played it yet because it crashes on startup. Just waiting for some patches.
