After updating to NMS 4.48 I'm unable to play online multiplayer, it worked fine under 4.47.
Am I the only one with this problem?

May I ask you under which OS you're running NMS? Because I'm using Linux and sometimes errors are due to WINE compatibility layer's problems, but if also Windows is affected then it's something that Hello Games should fix.

It doesn't run on Windows at the moment either. (I still have an installation on my dual-boot system).
Just reporting that me and another GoG user are also having no connection to matchmaking services as of yesterday. Multiplayer for Steam users works fine, however.

Thanks for the replies.

I'd suggest anyone encountering this issue to create a ticket at https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=167605 specifying that the update 4.38 broke the multiplayer mode on GoG, hoping that a higher number of ticket will make them release a hotfix patch faster, rather than the usual 2-3 weeks.

EDIT Just noticed that the latest version is 4.38 not 4.48, my mistake.

Did the game version, in the mode selection bottom-right corner, change? Currently I have version 107985 but I'm unable to connect.

No it's still 107985. It was fixed for me on its own around the time i mentioned it here, but i had already done the usual fixes prior to that to no avail (restart gog, reboot pc, reboot router, flush DNS), so i think it wouldnt hurt to try.
Doesn't work for me.

I launched the game just now and I once again have no multiplayer, though at least the qs mission remained available from earlier, when mp was temporarily fixed.

I guess its a gog server stability issue that will be resolved soon.
I am having this problem as well. "Connecting to discovery services" but never connects. No Multiplayer. Worked fine yesterday. Windows 10 PC

You meaned 4.38.

Its surely a GOG-problem. Send your problem-request to GOG, in the other world is this version fine.
Still have this problem currently. Different PC, seeing same problem on two Win10 PCs, across multiple saves. Reported to Zen desk. No problem with GoG sync, which is what usually fails for me. Agree looking around only GoG users seem to see this problem.
We really do not have the means to test or determine of the problem is on the GOG side or Hello Games may not be receiving or processing the data from GOG.

If submitting support requests it probably is better to submit both to GOG and Hello Games. I have not yet received a reply from GOG and I have never seen any proof that Hello Games ever responds although there are the rare claims that someone received a communication from Hello Games. The only time that I heard anything from Hello Games was from Old Gods related to the Atlas Level IV pass which still is in a desk drawer in the original mailing envelope.

Over the last couple of days I have tried several times to trick the system into at least establishing a temporary connection to the Discovery Servers but have not had any success. While we still can play most of the game the inability to connect to the Discovery Servers blocks daily and weekend quicksilver missions, interactions with Helios for nanites or Emergency Broadcast Beacons AKA Emergency Signal Scanners
