I'm wondering if my system will run NSM. I don't expect it to be perfect. I'm just hoping I can get in there and play around some. I don't have the option of changing any of this hardware.

Windows 10 Pro
AMD Athlon X2 235e Processor 2.70 GHz
64-bit OS, x64-based processor
7.75 GB RAM
664 GB free on 700 GB HDD
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
DirectX 12
Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Thank you for looking.

Kind of a good question. It is possible to circumvent the opengl 4.5 requirement (and supposedly it's going to be patched in along with intelhd graphics card support). Once that happens, the minimum graphics card requirements would likely not just be a bit lower, but a lot lower, than they are now. And your processor is fast enough.

So.. yeah, either somehow add a new radeon card on the side (..if laptop, might be difficult with an egpu setup, but still..). Or wait until, or see if, HG announce intelhd and a lower res version with a lower opengl standard version requirement. Or suffer, I dunno, 5fps a second in 640x480 with the workaround in the meantime.

Hopefully someone will ask about this on the post-mortem in ten years. How they figured that adding the filters and dust, surface treatment and shaders, and making it all permanent (and forced, to conform with the ps4 version whether you want the detail up or down) was such a brilliant idea.

Is that via a mod?

@ willyb1963, the minimum specs are on the download page for NMS on GOG. It asks for 8GB Ram (you have 7.75!) and i'm pretty sure your HD 3200 gpu (that is an on-board chips isn't it?) is well below the minimum mentioned. The table on this link at Toms Hardware will give you a better idea of how far behind your GPU is:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

the HD 3200 appears in the bottom third of that chart, while the min spec cards of GTX 480 and Radeon 7870 are in the top third! So yeah i would not think your machine is going to run it, unless nipsen knows of a mod perhaps that allows it to run on your hardware?

Radeon hd :) "ancient" radeon integrated card for laptops. Perfectly good card, dx10 compatible, opencl performance (it's an apu, basically), much better 3d acceleration compared to intel graphics chips, also the newer ones. But does not run certain functions in the opengl4.5 specificaton.

Actually - there's something called the potato mod, or something like that. Let's see..

OP might want to try that along with the workaround.
Thank you for your replies.
I will still get the game and see what happens.
Hoping something posted here will help.
If not right away, maybe in another patch...
These are my Specs:

i5 3350P @3.10 Ghz
8 GB RAM
2GB Nvidia GTX 750 Ti

Windows 7

I'm getting 30-40 fps (with some stutters/drops to +20 from time to time as it loads stuff in) with 'Medium' settings in the graphics menu of the game.

In general i'm pretty happy with how it is running, my GPU might be holding me back (it usually is) and i do have to consider the FPS impact of any mods i might want to try.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS (free upgrade route)
Intel i7-2600 3.4GHz Processor
8 GB DDR3 Ram
Raid 0 consisting of 2 1TB Western Digital Black 7200rpm Drives
ATi Radeon HD 6770 Graphics with 1GB DDR5 Ram
USB Blue-backlit Keyboard & Mouse

I am also using a 64gb USB 3.0 thumb drive as a Ready Boost device. It does seem to help.

My BIOS on my old motherboard (Dell 8300) doesn't support either running an SSD nor a CacheSSD. It is the previous version and there isn't any way to upgrade it...short of buying a new motherboard/computer.

The game is running in low graphics but I am happy with it...that's all that counts! -)
