With everyone reporting so many issues I just wanted to put it out there that it's not horrible for everyone.

Windows 10
AMD R9 390X 8GB
Intel i7-4790K 4.0GHZ
16GB RAM

I've had zero issues playing the game, and have been doing so all day long since the moment GOG unlocked the game.
At most I could say there's a LITTLE pop-in going on once in a while, but in a game that's procedurally generated you kind of expect that lol

Hardly anything that affects gameplay though.

Anyway, just wanted to put that out there in case anyone was browsing these forums only seeing the bad side of whatever is happening. Some of us are playing happily.

I actually just came here to see if I could rename my ship, but it's not a supported feature. Oh well.

Yeah me too, this is actually good to post so people can see the game is not completely broken for everyone. I hate all the negativity when some of us are running it with no issues at all. All we can do is try to help those with issues resolve them if possible.

What is your FPS when it is not stuttering?

Are you by chance running the game off of a hard drive? I wonder if the procedurally generated world saving temporary files while generating stuff could cause that?

Runs pretty great for me, with almost everything maxed out.

I get instant crash on launch or instant crash after the words "no man sky" come up. :(

I feel bad for the players that are having issues. It has run solidly for me, for maybe 3 hours of play so far. A little bit of graphics shuddering, if I shift the camera too quick, but nothing terribly noticeable.

This is good to hear that it is working for some. I'm sure Hello Games are in overdrive with fixes. I actually feel sorry for them in a way.
