Love the game, it's a little weird how some things are being done here a few suggestions.

1. Exocrafts
Exocrafts need a Analysis Visor (or ability) i see that the player need constant jumping in and out of the craft and it's a major complaint on the web.

2.Ship roles
Ships have no specific role this makes no sense why would a fighter ship have the same amount of space compare to a hauler??
ships should have roles a fighter should have less storage unit space a hauler should have more storage space then a fighter but less then a freighter etc.
also it would be good role play if you can carry a single (icon) exocraft in a hauler that can be summon without a freighter
or station

personal i find the game should focus more on "equipment" exocraft, starships, etc and less on the "player" it's bit silly that the player can stach away stuff "somewhere i dont even wanna know" on his backpack that even a freighter cant
the proper machine for the proper job.

I agree to the exocrafts thing.

But speaking about ship roles, they are different. If you have a transporter they can have more slorage space, a fighter has more damage, an explorer got more tech-slots and further hyperdrive range, and shuttles have a better handling.

If you look at the community there are some who like the game to be more challenging, with stronger enemies, others want to get more units faster, the next one likes to have more building stuff and so on.
This game never got the focus on being very challenging or forcing the player to do specific stuff, because it wants to be a sandbox game, so you won't get a very deep focus on anything specific.

What you can do is use mods to change things a bit.

There is no reason to believe that anyone from Hello Games reads the GOG forums. This has been discussed many times in the last 4 years. Suggest posting in a forum that Hello Games participates and/or submitting a ticket through Zendesk.

Hello Games posts in the Steam Forum when updates are posted and has made posts there although none in quite some time. I have read that the reddit and discord forums may see some information from Hello Games posted there but I have not used those.

Discussed many times in the past is in regards to this forum. Hello Games made a post or two shortly after initial release and has not been seen since.

Hello Games does not respond to support tickets although the system sometimes generates an automated receipt notice (maybe 40 or 50% of the time in my experience). They either make changes or they do not.

EDIT: The Hello Games sponsored forums is Atlas-65.com which is a holdover from a prior promotional ARG. Those forums rarely contain any useful information.
