After having upgraded to NMS Beyond I'm stuck in the current system.

Lately I started a new game and by the time "Beyond" arrived I only had knowledge of how to make a few technologies.
Now my Hyperdrive is empty, I can't find any playce where to buy Antmatter and there is also no place to learn how to do this.

Also I'm missing a few markers when flying through space, for example there is no longer a marker for the orbital space station.

Furthermore the many other markers for a POI, a personal marker are quiet disturbing. It should be possible to deactivate them and to "undo" a personal marker.
I started new game in VR so I didn't go too far but I believe it's all a part of the new tutorial as I am in a similar situation. No jump drive, no station and I can only fly around system with 3 planets.

Did you build the base yet?

+1 to "undo a personal marker" Those are a physical objects in the world now. We should be able to at lease "deactivate" it.

No, I didn't build a base and I don't want to either. It doesn't fit when you need to build a base while you only want to explore space...

I had a similar problem. Try going to your quest log and making the 'Awakenings' quest your active quest. That's the questline you need to follow to learn how to make antimatter and the hyperdrive.
Unfortunately the "tutorial" now forces the player to do certain things to progress.
I had to build a simple base, build a portal in it and power it up to get to the stage where the orbital space showed up and then it triggered the quest for jump drive.
Yep, antimatter blueprint is part of the tutorial.
You cant get the blueprint anywhere else so you're forced to follow the tutorial.

So much for it being a sandbox game.
Yes, I also just wanted to explore. I had enough power to jump one system, but now of course no anti-matter. I even bought some anti-matter housing, but it seems the game is going to force me to follow the damn hand-holding tutorial before it`ll give me the blu-print to build Anti-Matter.

What a pain. This is because of kids whining so much to have their hands held that now EVERYONE has to have their hand held even if they just want to explore freely like adults!

i spend most of my time in Creative Mode but because everything is free there you kind of loose the sense that you achieved something. You just fly around and build base after base...
Well I went through its hoops and truly annoying it is, I`ve spent 2-3 hours building my little hut I don`t need right now and making the Portal work (all stuff that could`ve been staggered or triggered at separate points later), and I`m STILL not yet at the point of getting that blasted Anti-Matter. And I`m no slouch. I`m going as fast as I can.

I don`t care who the mysterious stranger\message is -I just wanna explore the Universe!!

Seriously, I`m tempted to go back to Fallout4VR if this takes any longer.

Makes no sense to force a tutorial in a game where we start over often (especially considering major updates tend to break saves).

Tutorials should be entirely optional.
