I have been in the my starting star system since the patch came out. I have completely explored one planet and started exploring a second in that same system. I have been to the space station in the same system and i have found no antimatter. I have been given no anti matter. I have talked to 3 or 4 aliens i have been to transmissions, colonies shelters you name it. Nothing. How am i supposed to leave that system? Seems that the system i am in has no anti matter and no warp cells. Please help!

You have to MAKE your own anitmatter

Mouse over the antimatter recipe in your inventory, and you'll see you need to make a bunch of different things in order to make the antimatter

I found the things I needed by blasting my way into the locked buildings.

(Unfortunately, it seems if you want to play peacefully (not breaking into the locked buildings) you'll never find the recipes you need)

Oh and don't worry, even if you blast open those doors, you still get +faction with whatever alien planet you're on

In my early game, I kept running away whenever the sentinels tuned up when I tried blasting into a place. This meant I wondered the system for ages before I realised I HAVE to bust the door down and go in!

I cant use a recipe that i dont have. I have recipes/schematics for other items , which i have made. All i need is anti matter or the recipe. I have blasted every door i come across. All i get is + faction. This has got to be a bug. Trust me i have blown plenty of doors down and i have gotten nothing but faction. NO antimatter recipe no nothing. I do have the warp cell recipe but no anti matter or any way to make it

It's not a bug, but Desjay is wrong about what you need to do. You can't make your first antimatter yourself, and you won't get the recipe until you reach the next star system.

Thats my whole point. I cant reach the next star system . Im not gettign anything to help me do this. Also! I juyst noticed that the star systen and planets i named have had theior names changed. Im getting truly frustrated.

I apologize i didnt see the link. I am pretty steamed right now about my planets and star system being renamed. I cant see any of the animals that i named. I can see the little green icon where i uploaded the discoveries but no pictures. This game is falling apart. I will watch the video now

Ok i watched that video. There was no starting alien for me. I did not receive anything from anything or anyone. Also i used my pre order ship from the start. Nothing in that video applies to me until i can get to a second system. Like i said i didnt get to talk to an alien at the start. I had to explore the whole planet i finally got to talk to 2 different aliens on the first planet. I blew down several doors and only received faction. That has to be a bug. PLus My discovered and named solar system and planets have been renamed (mysteriously a) and the creatures i discovered are not showing up when you hit "ESC". Even the discovered areas on the planets are not showing up. Only the little green icon that lets you know that you uploaded the discovery, are visible. That has to be a bug. IS there anyway i can go into the NMS folder and rename my discoveries to the names i gave originally?

Im also noticing that the planet i am on, where i have completed all the objective (the first planet i discovered and named) Is showing up as another planet in the system. I went to the other planet a couple of days ago and discovered a couple of new creatures. I named that planet also. I went back to the first planet i discovered . Thats where i have been for the past couple of days. Now when i hit "ESC" it acts like im on the other planet sjhowing me the things i discovered on that planet, not the ones im on now. I click to see the view the planet im on now and nothing shows up. Like i said in an above post only the green icon letting me know i have uploaded the creatures or areas. Could this be a server error?

Other people have mentioned that the preorder DLC is buggy. I haven't used it myself, so I can't comment. One thing the video does mention that you didn't seem to notice is that you can buy antimatter from the galactic market or from traders. Have you tried doing that?

What I did was, I hung out at the dock at the space station and ask the ships that came in for antimatter, and bought it off the NPCs. I was able to get plenty that way.

The preorder ship had one warp cell charged into its starting hyperdrive.
I guess if you changed ships before using it you will not have that charge anymore.
I've never bought antimatter from traders but it seems likely that some stock it. I've never seen the space station itself stock antimatter that I can remember.

Yep, this is the DLC bug. I didn't except my DLC until after I got the Antimatter plans per other comments. A recent patch makes it so Antimatter can be purchased from incoming ships at the station as @misscrabtree456 stated or there is supposed to be someone on the station that you can acquire the plans to build from. Check this forum, I believe there is a thread on it.

Its not really a Problem with the dlc. The dlc makes it Just easier to run into.
If you complete the questline to the point where you get your free antimatter make a warp cell load it an then change your ship you will run into the same situation. Or sell it without loading it. Or discard it.

The problem is that the game requires you to use that free warp cell for a specific purpose but does not handhold you to not loose it.

In that respect it's quite old school and lots of players don't expect that they can be eaten by a grue.
