I've had 3.97 for a few days, but not 3.98, which is out on all other platforms.

It's the offline 3.97 patch that's missing. Non-GoG Galaxy

I'm hoping we will get it after the weekend. Else it might be best to contact support so they can look into it :) I'm not usually bothered by updates being a bit late, but when it's during a limited time event, I get stressed out xD

As far as I can tell, it's the "3.96 to 3.97", and "3.97 to 3.98" offline patches that are missing. And also the 3.98 full install.

Yes, that's right. "3.96 to 3.97" and "3.97 to 3.98" ... and full 3.98, though I expect GoG will be a little behind on the 3.98. Is it even out yet on Steam? ... But, we should for sure have at least 3.97.. It's crazy!
3.98 is released on PS4 only at this time, guess that's what the TAG is standing for:

I guess I spoke too soon. Sean must use an unusual definition of "now" and "all" :D

Looks like the 3.98 is available but not 3.97. I don't use manual downloads for this, but that seems like problem.
3.98 full installation files are now available via website (was 3.97 yesterday) and galaxy and also the patch from 3.97 to 3.98 (177 MB) is ready on website and galaxy.
On Release log it's also tagged with PC, PS4, PS5

EDIT: And you're right, QuixoteX, i've never seen a patch file to 3.97, just the full installation.

Thanks... I suppose I'll just reinstall the whole game. Someone's asleep over there.. Ha!

jimmy12345: Thanks DerHexer66!
You're welcome - I'll do a fresh install as well.

And GoG should clean up the offline patches, because there's no point to offer the older patches (3.92 to 3.94) if you can't upgrade to at least 3.97 from there.

I think the best way to approach this is uninstall the game and buy it on steam. I think I may try that. At least steam has a file checker. As it stands now NMS on gog is just a bug filled mess.

When using GoG Galaxy you can verify the installation as well. The point is that the offline inststaller files are delivered with a couple of days delay. I personally don't have a problem with that.

And how is the GoG version of NMS a "bug filled mess" while the (same) steam version is not? Please explain.

It's now a couple 12 days later. It turns out I was having computer issues. So much so that the cmos on the motherboard had to be reset not sure if NMS has the issues now that my computer is setup with a fresh install of Windows 10 on a formatted Solid State drive.
