You do not understand the math...

Now take into consideration the size of space and epic scale of the OCEANS and planets...
No you are missing the entire point. I never said it wasn't huge with lots of planets. I'm talking time to meet in the middle of where you and your buddy are.
Say you are 15 in game hours apart, you could assume it would take about 7.5 hrs to meet if you went straight towards each other and didn't stop. Say 8 or 9 hours if you stopped for fuel or whatever a time or two.
If I was able to meet a friend in game, i would not fully explore every planet in between us. I would fly right on by.
They said roughly 40 hrs from the start to reach the center. Assume spherical just for approximation. That means 268k cubic hours of play area. Say 27k players online, you would have 10 cubic hours of play area per player if evenly spread out. In reality you would be much closer to some, and further from others. So you post online where you are, and 15 other people are nearby and you decide to meet at the pole of a small planet, or at a base on a large island by the equator or whatever etc. Not that big of a stretch. Say there were 270k players online and you're much much closer together. On top of all that when you get say to the middle 1000 cubic hours of the galaxy tons of people would be nearby at most time after the game has been released a while.
If, as you stated in another post, we each have our own galaxy then this all goes out the window. I never heard of that until you said it. Frankly that would be even more of a single player game, unless you gain the ability to meet up later in some way.
